e week plateau and counting
yep today is 3 weeks.
I am sick of this.
I have kicked up my work out routine hoping for the best.
Yesterday was 30 mins of cardio then i hit a step class. Of course this morning I am achy. SO tonight we're going low impact aqua aerobics.
WHY can't I get in the 100's. I made it one morning and I am starting to think it was something with my scale!
I know I need to walk away from the scale. Easier said then done though.

OMG!!!! Can I relate to that!! I show I gained 2 pounds this morning. But I cooked a roast in the crock pot with soup mix and it was REALLY salty. My fingers were swollen this morning.
You know, you have done so extremely well
You will get there. Yes, have you ever thought of making a deal with yourself to not weigh for maybe 2 weeks?? Put it away and out of sight. And you know when you get sore from exercising that means you are retaining water.
It will come off.

First, congrats on your weight loss and exercise regimen!
As for me, I can totally identify with the scale thing. It's a toxic piece of metal for me.
I had been weighed at my surgeon's office and would not weigh myself at home because I felt I wanted one number that was consistent (my surgeon, my pcp and my scale all show different numbers). So I decided that I wouldn't weigh until my next visit which is Nov. But a couple of weeks ago, I was at the movies with my son and saw a digital scale and thought, "Oh, that's really similar to my surgeon's, let me check it out." Figuring I'd been working out a lot, I thought I'd be much close to 200. Nope, and I had only lost 4 lbs in a month.
Now, never mind that I've lost pants sizes, and have been losing a pants size roughly every 3 - 4 weeks, the number on the scale had the power to depress me and make me start to think very toxic-ly - "will I be successful at this?", "have I finished the wls honeymoon period?" "Will I regain the weight back?" Until I was driving myself nuts and firmly decided to cut myself some slack.
Now I won't weigh myself until I go to the surgeon's again and will just know from how I feel.
How long do you have to follow weighing yourself for the gym? Maybe once that is over you can put the scale on the highest shelf in the garage!

Hi Stacey-I just finished a three week stall myself. The first one I had that long. I was also going insane! I knew from the website thath everyone has them, etc. but when its you it can really drive you crazy. I rechecked myself on my protein intake (I had gotten a little lax and was only guesstimating) and made sure I was getting my 70 gr and added a few more and the scale started going again. Now in the last 10 days I have lost 8 pounds. It sounds like your getting enough excercise. Hang in there, I know its hard and boggles the mind.

Well, I hear you all!
I platuea every month for 2 weeks. (The week of my period and the week after my period). Then, for some strange reason...I drop 10 pounds in the next two weeks??
I have not been exercising nearly as much as I should! I really want to, but work full time, have a 3 year old and busy life. No excuse...I just can't find the time to do it as much as I should. I think I would be 20 pounds ahead if I did.
Anyway, the scale is moving again this week!!! Ya, 6 pounds to go to my Halloween goal!
I know exactly what you mean. I have only lost 6 pounds this month. My six month appointment is on Thursday and if I don't lose another 2 pounds before then I am going to get a lecture. They want me to lose 8-13 pounds a month. This will be the first month that I haven't made it. So I have upped my exercise and cut back on my calories and am hoping I can lose the two pounds before Thursday. Don't give up you will make it to onederland and then you can do a happy dance. I am sending you lots of hugz for support.
