New style of dressing?

First, I'm sorry I've been MIA for awhile, was taking a break...I promise I'll try to work my way back in. Anyway, my question...do any of you realize that the way you dress has changed now? 6 months ago you couldn't have paid me to wear a shirt that was slightly form fitting but now when I go shopping I find myself putting things back if they are baggy and getting a smaller size that isn't tight but is more fitting than I used to wear. I think it's because before I was huge and I knew peopel woudl think it wasn't attractive (I admit I often looked at other large people and thought "did you look in the mirror before you left??!!") but now that I've lost almost 80lbs my attitude is much different. I know I'm still not tiny by any means but it's sorta like "ya know, I may not look great in this but I look damn good compared to 6 months ago so if you don't like it, kiss my ass!" Does that make sense? I also think it's because once you get into "normal" sizes things are made that way as opoosed to plus size stuff that was made baggier. This was brought up because I was going through my clothes and got irritated because all my shirts look like I'm swimming in them so I went shopping and everything I bought is a little fitted. I am also proud to say that I now own shirts that are a 14/16 and I bought them on the other side of the wall at Fashion Bug! (Still in 18 pants but not for long, they are getting a little loose.) I agree with a change in the style of clothes I am wearing. Although most of my clothes are hand me downs! I have been wearing jeans- some of them (14's) are tight but I don't feel like I have to wear a big shirt over the top to hide my fat roll. Since I have raided my Mom's jackets at are XL Eddie Bauer (??) I feel like I am in fashion. I know I was so used to just wearing what fit that now we have so many more choices of what we can wear and cute stuff! This is just the start! Think of how good we are going to feel next summer- and what choices we will have then!

I admit I haven't done much shopping.. I am the type who never got rid of clothes.. I still had clothes from high school (stuff that doesn't go out of style like jeans and t-shirts) that I've been going through.. mostly senior year I have to admitt.. now that I am back to a 16 I had to buy clothes!!! I found pretty intimidating actually.

I do have to say that i have a new shopping problem.....this i know is not good since i can only wear a size for about 2 weeks then on to a smaller one. i know its bc i am feeling so good about myself.....i mean you all understand......going from a 20/22 to a size 7, i really cant get my mind around it, but its real. i am in juniors clothes but am being careful to keep it age appropriate (sp?). so i say "GO SHOPPING PEOPLE" even if it is at a second hand store (do that alot)its all in feeling good about who you are becomeing........
