Anyone tried pasta/breads/cereals yet???
Every morning I eat the high protein Special K cereal with milk. And about 1x every 2 weeks I make the Barilla high Protein Angel Hair pasta with a very meaty sauce to keep the hubby and kids happy. I don't seem to have any trouble with any of it. But I do limit the amount of pasta I eat. I don't want to challenge the pouch.
My doctor told me that I could have a "normal" eating plan with a focus on getting protein first. I track my food on fitday and I get in 70 gms of protein or more a day and stay around 1000-1100 calories.
I try to stay away from carbs of any kind. I use them as treats because I crave carbs rather than sugar.
I haven't had any as in sandwhich bread, but I have had the bottom of a biscuit and it didn't bother me. Rice, I haven't had any trouble at all. The most I've had is about 1/4 cup. As for pasta, I use Dreamfield's pasta. It claims to have 5 digestible net carbs www.dreamfieldsfoods.com. You can find this at Kroger. I haven't had any trouble with pasta either. I can eat 1/4 cup with meat sauce. I've had bran flakes, special K, and the special k high protein cereal with fat free milk - no problems. I suggest that you just take your time incorporating these items back into your diet and watch your carbs.

I do eat cereal and usually have it every day for breakfast. I usual eat Special K Vanilla Almond - love it or Crispex.
I tried pasta way early but I found that I just didn't like it any more. Had to chew it so much that there was just no flavour - haven't tried in a long time cause it was just gross.
I Stay away from bread too. I've had a little here and there but just fills me too quickly with useless calories. - Can't believe I said that - I was a real bread person before. (LOL)
If you want pasta someone told me what they do is just have the ground beef with spagetti sauce - get the spagetti flavour and your protein without the carbs of the pasta. I tried it once was ok but not something I've kept going with - guess I can do without it at this point.
