HELP! I'M WORRIED!!
Hi Everyone,
I need your help on what I'm doing wrong and what I need to do to fix it.
My surgery was April 17th. I have lost 88 pounds, which is good I know, BUT in the past 3 weeks I haven't lost a single pound! I AM getting in all my protein now (mostly by drinks) and the water. I'm also still working out at the gym, So why am I not loosing weight?! My 6 months is coming up fast and I hear the weight starts slowing down after that.
Well mine is already slowing down and it scares me to death!
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??
Debra
Debbie,
I dont know what your doing wrong but I must be doing the same thing. My 5 month post op day was yesterday and I only lost 9 lbs in August. I do everything Im suposed to, I get in all my protein, and water. Maybe this month will be better for both of us. Good luck to you.

Starting weight 291
Current Weight 204
Are your clothes getting bigger on you? If you are working out you could be losing inches not the weight? Just a thought?
It is so tough when we do what were are told to do and the scale doesn't move!
Keep making sure you are getting in protein and your water- it is strange how we now need food to lose!
Keep your head up!
Debra, First of all congratulations on your 88 pounds! We are surgery buddies! I am down 55 pounds from the day of surgery. You are doing good so far. I hate these darn plateaus, but here is all the advice that I've gotten and tried to stick to when it comes to stalls:
What kinds of foods are you eating? Can you cut back on refined carbs? How much water are you getting? Can you drink half your body weight in ounces? Switch your workout entirely and do something different. Try to eat more on some days that you do on others. Cut back on your salt intake. Can you get more protein? Sometimes when I have a few days of 100g+ of protein, my scale starts to move again. Try to drink a shake before bed. The protein works while you sleep to help your muscles rebuild from exercise.
Not everyone slows down at 6 months out, maybe you won't either!
Good luck girlie!
Jenn
Debra,
I am here to tell you you are not doing anything wrong.....I did not lose weight for 1 month and now I am back to losing again. We are exspected to hit plateaus just be patient you will lose weight again...................

You're not in this boat alone,
looks like most of us April buddies are right there with you,
I know I am. I haven't lost any in 3 weeks now.
How frustrating that is,
I started out at 250, now weigh 182, so thats 68 lbs gone for good.
I would really love to be at 175 by Oct 7th,
going to see our son out in Arkansas for the first time since surgery,
but it just don't look like the scales are in my favor.
Oh well, I'll take what I can.
At least I feel 100% better, have a ton of energy,
husband says I'm like the duracell rabbit, can't be still, I love it.
You're doing GREAT!! and will continue to do so, this is just a bump
in the road so to speak, wow 88 lbs is something to Celebrate!!
Take care, hugs to you
