Wow moments this week...
Just when I get tired of the scale not moving enough and getting discouraged, something happens to remind me where I am and how far I've gone.
Last night was open house at youngest step-daughter's HS, she's a freshman (!). I hadn't seen middle SD's transitional specialist for a year but ran into her last night. Her first words were "oh my G*d! You look wonderful" After a brief discussion on how much I've lost (60 lbs) and how much more I hope to lose (another 60) she told me she hated me (as she was hugging me). It made me feel so good!
THEN...hubby called me today. He went to a funeral for a fellow parishoner (I couldn't get off work), we had gone to the visitation yesterday. While at the funeral 1 of the sons and his wife came up and said "what has Melissa done? She looks AWESOME but we didn't want to say anything that might sound negative about where she was".
Then, I went to see a family for a co-worker, I had done the assessment for them last year. The SIL didn't recognize me! The aide did a double take.
Three in one day...I can live with that!
Thanks for 'listening' to me brag!
Melissa
