Anyone having problems with energy levels?

I have had increased energy at one month post op until about 2-3 weeks ago. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I used to feel more energetic when I got home from work and now I'm just exhausted (just like I was before the surgery). I get in at least 12 cups of water a day, around 80 grams of protein, am taking my 2 chewable multivitamins, chewable calcium, B-12 once per week, and exercising (cardio only) at least 4 times per week. I've lost 73 pounds so far. I just saw my Nut 2 weeks ago and she said it sounded like I was eating what I am supposed to and getting enough in so I'm not sure what is going on. Any ideas? Thanks Denise

Just wanted to say Hi to another Wilmington girl I had surgery April 3rd with Dr Harris. Yes I do feel a little tired here lately, but I am thinking it might have something to do with the heat !! WOW it has been hot here lately !! Someone suggested drinking more.. Maybe your energy will come back when the heat lets up just a little. COngrats on your wls. Best of Luck Stephanie Wilmington NC

Hello I agree with SD, I think it might have a lot to do with the HEAT! I also think that at this time in our weigtloss journey, our bodies are actually just catching up...eventhough it has been 3.5-4 mos. for most of us, and we are all pretty ajusted to our pouches, new bodies, and can eat just about anything, our bodies are just now catching up, and realizing what happened. Someone from another board told me that between 4-6 mos. is when your body experiences the greatest weigtloss, so unbeknown to you, your body is doing a lot of internal work. I very glad that you posted this, because I think this is something that we (April folks) are experiencing. I am doing all of the same thing as you, and as of last week, I find myself needing a nap in the middle of the day. My energy level is just fine when I taking care of my business, but the minute I stop, I am really pooped at the end of the day. So, I say all of this to say....It's normal! We must LISTEN to our bodies, and give it the needed rest that it requires! Lady d
