Thoughts on my 4-Month Anniversary

I just wanted to post an update here with my April sisters. I don't post here much, I'm pretty busy on the DS board and don't have time for much more than that. I have lost a total of 66.5 pounds! I am absolutely astonished - I keep waiting for the 'other shoe to drop' for the scale to start inching back up or at least to stop going down all together! I am amazed at how forgiving the DS is. Now don't get me wrong, I am committed to eating right. I eat protein first - I eat at least 90 grams of protein a day. If I think I'm lacking a bit - I'll drink a protein drink. However, I eat so much stuff that I shouldn't! NOT like pre-op. But if I want a cone with the kids, I'll eat a cone. If I'm in the mood for some Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey - I'll buy it. Pre-op, I'd have finished it in one sitting - now I'll eat it over 3 days time - but the great thing is I CAN EAT IT and it doesn't mean that I've failed or that now my 'diet' is ruined. Funny thing is, when I do totally 'screw up' and eat a ton of food or a bunch of junk - the next day the scale will show a loss! I'm like --- what the heck is up with this!? I keep losing and losing. I love it, but at the same time, it's frightening. Somehow as I reach my ideal weight (my goal?) my body is just going to shut off the loss, my stomach will hold more and the villi in my intestine are going to grow and become more efficient - magically as I near my goal weight. All my spidey senses are tingling - and I hear my mother's voice saying... "If it sounds too good to be true... then it probably is." I don't mean to sound skeptical - but wow! The DS is so phenomenal. I love the way I can eat. I love the pounds melting away. It all seems like a dream, just too good to be true. Best of all, I had my 3-month labs done and everything is peachy-keen! I take my supplements, protein and water VERY seriously! Just wanted to share my great news! God bless!
