Doesn't FIT!

I need help! I am matron of honor in a wedding September 2, the dress shop ordered me a size 16!!! I asked for a 18 she said she would rather take it out than take it in. OK, so I try the dress on today it is TOO SMALL! Like 6 inches too small in the back where it zips up...at this point I am so freaked out, she told me not to worry she can fix it. She then asks me "you did have the surgery didn't you" my girlfriend wanted to pop her, my last weigh in was two weeks ago and I was down like 86 pounds. But she didn't know me from Adam so she wouldn't have been able to tell.... What I need help with is exercise- does anyone know of any good upper body workouts that will help in 3 weeks? I am not getting fitted until the 28th of August. I am so freaked out, I called a personal trainer just to see what he thinks. I can't afford the $99 bucks for 2 months considering I am already a member of Curves and have a year contract there. If anyone has any helpful ideas please let me know. Thanks much!

I know exactly what you went through! My friends wedding was in June, and I had to order my dress in November. I had no idea when surgery would be so I just had to guess at what size I was going to be. I ordered a 20 and sure enough it fit like a glove... Is there any way you can get another dress before then? See if you can look on the internet or at another store! Good luck! -Emily

Jenni-My mom is a seamstress and I know from her that it is absolutly, positively NOT easy to take out!!!! Where do you get the extra fabric from then??? Someone made a mistake here. Either the shop (in which I would make them reorder or fix for free) or whoever did the order. No one will prob admit to it though, especially if it is the shop. The only place they could "get" fabric is if the length fabric is too long and is the same. They could shorten the dress and piece the length fabric into the side of the bodice. Make sure they put it in under the under arm where it is not as noticable. The dress shop is trained to make sure a dress fits right. Hope all works out-Sharon Brown

The dress shop lady told me not to worry she would make it fit, I am hoping the other girls dresses are too big so she can take some of their dresses and fix mine. She might give me a lacy up back with would be cool as long as you can't see the fat on my back! She better be fixing it for me for free or else I will have a COW on the spot.... Alternations are included in the price so that should be included she ordered it, not me! I have lost like 30 lbs since than I thought 8-10 lbs was a size? Well if worse comes to worse this is making me work by butt of working out- getting enough protein and drinking my water! That is all I can think of to do, I have to eat to live so there is no Dieting in my world anymore. Its so bad when all you eat is protein! Thanks everyone for listening!
