I had my 3 month check up Friday, July 21, 2006 and no labs were done. Is this normal? Brenda

Hey Brenda, My surgeon had me get labs done and then bring them to my 3 month check up to discuss what needs to be done. You might want to give the surgeon a call and ask about your blood work? Kim M.

My surgeon gave me my lab slips at my 1 month appt (for my 3 month appt). At my 3 month appt, he gave me my lab slip for my 6 month appt. I have to go 2 weeks prior to my appointment to have the labs done, so they're all finished by the time I go to his appointment. So...to answer your question, YES, I believe labs should be done. Call your doctor.

My surgeon said I was doing fine and there was no need to have labs done. So I went to my Primary and had them ordered. I will get the results Aug 2. Terrie 366/304/ goal 165

What type of lab work did you ask your primary doctor to do?

I go for my three month this Friday and my doctor told me that they will draw blood and do the work up. I think he said, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. Sue

My surgeon gave me lab requests for the 3 mth, 6 mth and 1 year check ups with the package I got at the consultation session. And the instructions say to get them done 2 weeks before the appointment. My 3-4 month checkup is August 4, and I had the labs done last Friday. I got a call from the surgeons office today and all they said was that some tests were low and that I should follow up with my PCP. I'll have to call them tomorrow to see if they are sending the results to the PCP. Jeanne

I saw my surgeon on the 13th and told him my endo wanted labs done (did them on the 14th) and the surgeon said he didn't need anything right now but asked if i could have the results sent to him so he had record of them......endo not only sent copies to the surgeon he sent them to my derm also (thinks my elevated liver readings might be caused my the enbrel i use for psorisis) Good luck to you Ruth Ann

Brenda, At my 6 week appt. my surgeon gave me the slip for labs to be completed every three months starting at 3 months post-op. If nothing else I would check with your family Dr. to get them to do some blood work to check on how things are going. Melissa
