Had my surgery April 26th/06

I have been to this board a few times but never posted. I figure it is time to get to know my April buddies. I had my surgery on April 26th at Barix Clinics in Ypsilanti Michigan with Dr. Kam. At my highest weight (January of this year) I was 298. The day of surgery I was 277. I am now 226 for a total loss of 72 lbs. (51lbs since surgery) I am feeling great and have a ton more energy. I can actually play with my 18 month old instead of jus****ching him play!!! Yeah Well now that I have intorduced myself. I'll say goodbye and have a great weekend. Melissa

Melissa, I had my surgery the same day. I have lost 56 pounds and have been doing very well. I had surgery in Elmira, NY with Dr Cole. He is amazing and I am very happy to have him as my surgeon. I have been on this board since having my surgery. It's a nice board. Sometimes it is very busy and other times it seems everyone is gone. I am sure most of us are busy enjoy our new lifes. Welcome! I am date behind your surgery day- the 27th. I started out this journey at 310 and lost 15 presurgery for a total of 79 total as of Monday. I try to only jump on the scale once a week because I can't use that as my guide only my clothes. Thanks for posting and I hope you stick around!

Hi there & welcome .had RYN lap on the 24 lost 43 but I know I have lost alot of inches & one shoe size my high weight was 286 but lost some before surgery I looked at surgery for a year before I was sure day of surgey was 256 now today I weigh 213 but I have very little engery but not alot get tired fast .& now my hair is thinning out but would do it over again in a heart beat !

you truly sound like my twin! April 27! My high was 286 surgery I was 227 and today I am 224! and I have a 2 year old woohoo welcome to the board!

Hi Melissa, I had surgery April 25th in Belvidere IL, at Barix Clinic. My Doctor was fabulous Dr. Vaughn. I weighed 244 to start, 233 on surgery day and now weigh 189. Hopefully, I will keep dropping. I do not have the energy you described. Do you have any tips? I am happy though. Glad to meet you. Kim M.

Nice to meet you Melissa I had my surgery on April 20th in Buffalo, NY with Dr. Caruana. I weighed 333 and I'm now at 266. I feel great and have lots of energy. I'm enjoying outside more so I'm not on the computer as much lately. Lizzie
