Are you guys still drinking shakes?
Hello all of my April buddies!!!! How has everyone been? Let's catch up if we can. I was just wondering if you all were still drinking your protein shakes and if so how many? I am down 62 pounds and now drinking just one shake per day (down from 2). It definitely is alot slower now but my nut said I was eating too many carbs so I took away carbs as snacks - not all the time but I have more protein snacks than carbs and took away my carb at dinner most nights of the week. We'll see. . . .
How are you guys?????
I just started a new shake with carbs and protein to help with my energy level. It's called Boost.....I have a clear drink coming via UPS called Boost Breeze which has more carbs and protein than the milk based drink. I also have one per day and I am now down 70 pounds. The shakes are a good way to get the needed protein without feeling so full
Hey girl! Congrats on you loss! I'm officially down 68lbs, unofficially 76lbs.... I actually gained weight after my consultation with my surgeon. But I couldn't be happier. I wish I could lose more quicker but oh well. I started trying carbs a few weeks ago (it was pretty bad with the pms cravings) which is a big no no, but I have since stopped and increased my exercise. As for the shakes, I have one for breakfast just because it is convenient. I'll have one for lunch too... it just depends on how burned out I am on my staples of eggs, cheese, cottage cheese, chicken, and turkey - which is pretty often lol Well, keep up the good work and continue to follow your nut's recommendations

Even though my surgeon wants me to get all of my protein from food, I am still drinking one protein shake early in the morning. I follow it up with a late breakfast/snack mid morning. The only protein drink I like is the EAS Myoplex Carb Sense ready to drink (chocolate fudge flavor) from GNC. It only has 150 calories and 25g of protein. It's a great way to start my protein count off every day! I am only down 46 lbs which is awfully slow compared to y'all! But I'll take it. I have never felt better! Love to all of my April buddies, Lisa
I am doing great, thanks! I am down about 57 pounds since surgery, for a total of about 76 pounds from my high weight.
I usually get my protein by food but have not lost for well over a week so I added in a morning shake, and lo and behold, I am losing again. I have a terrible time with the shakes though, I have to plug my nose and try not to gag when drinking them.
