HAIR FALLING OUT
Mine has started to fall out I think. I only notice it in the shower, though. When I wash my hair, my hands come back with 10-20 hairs on them. If I run my hands through my wet hair, it happens again. I have only noticed this happening this week, so it's probably just the beginning. I cut off 10 inches of my hair about a month and a half ago, because it was getting hot and this is the first year I've exercised, and it was definitely too hot to exercise in. I also had hair loss in mind when I cut it, losing short hair is less annoying than long hair that is just that much more to end up everywhere. I'll probably grow it back out when the hair loss stops.
Here's something interesting, though: My sister is just over 18 months out. She lost a fair amount of hair too, but her once wavy hair is has grown back in CURLY. Very curly. Almost . Since having surgery and cutting my hair, I have gotten comments that its already curlier too.
The only thing I can suggest is the Biotin. I don't take it, I'm a weirdo and actually look forward to thinning my hair a little bit. Better than having to have the hairdresser do it!

Unfortunately, this is one of the side effects I've had to deal with too....
I had my surgery on April 25th. I noticed last month or so that when I ran my fingers through my hair in the back that I could feel some stubble (like when I used to buzz cut my sons' hair).
I went to get my hair cut a few days ago at a new place and the stylist asked me after a few minutes of sectioning my layers if I'd had surgery on my head. I said, no, I had a gastric bypass. She told me that I had a bald patch, but that it was growing in nicely. She also did the layering so it covered my patch well.
I haven't noticed my hair coming out in clumps tho so hopefully this is my only bout of hair loss.
