Family Meals Ideas?
I need some ideas for family meals. I am so sick of chicken, fish, pork and steaks all grilled that my guts cringe when I even think about it. I tried some noodles (at my nuts request) on the fourth and got sick from 2 bites. I feel like I am in a rut of the same ole same old every day. My hubby has been making instant potato's almost every night so I won't eat them (hate em'-yuck)! Help!!!
What is everyone cooking for your family- that you can eat?
I can not get enough tacos ,I feel like I cook the same thing all the time chicken wings love them i make meatloaf also ,I use to love to cook now I hate it ,I can not do any pasta yet still feels like it gets stuck bad ,but i did try bread did ok with it ,seems like the same old thing all the time ,
I have found that since my surgery I hate to cook. When I do want to cook and get it all made. I find I usually can't eat it. My dh hates to see me try to cook and eat and can't so he tells me not to worry about it. I just wish I could find things that would go down and stay. I am tired of peanut butter and crackers, oatmeal, ect...... Protein drinks have got to were I hate them. So, I just keep trying different things and getting sick. Hope you find somethings you can cook.
God Bless
Crystal
Tacos are probably one of our favorites. I just eat a "stack" where I put refried beans, cheese, hamburger meat, lettuce, tomato & fat free sour cream.
I also make spaghetti sauce (meat sauce), we've been buying whole wheat spaghetti, its not bad! I can eat a tiny bit of the spaghetti, I usually just have the meat sauce and a little salad. Chicken soft tacos are also good, chicken breasts and taco seasoning in the crockpot, the spread that on a tortilla (or eat plain in my case!). Baked chicken, with oven roasted red potatoes (potatoes are cut into chunks, drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with salt, pepper, garlic powder). Fake fried chicken (buy frozen chicken tenders, thaw them out...dip them in an egg/milk combo, then dip into crushed corn flakes, bake until done. Brisket...yum. Also, bbq pork roast. Simply put a pork roast in the crock pot with a bottle of your choice bbq sauce, when its done, serve it on hamburger buns (or eat by itself!) w/cole slaw for the side.
YUMMY!
