do you have a patten to your WL?
I mean some weeks I will loose 4-5 lbs and I will do that for 1.5-2 weeks.
then I will have a week where I only loose one and that is for 1-1.5 weeks then platue for 10 days..
*boom* my period starts and I loose again
so I will drop 8-10 lbs in 2 weeks then 1-2 more lbs then nothing..
I am figuring it's something to do with my hormones.
I was just looking at this last night so it's funny you ask. I weigh in weekly so it's interesting to see the patterns.
The weigh-in I do that (so far) has been about 10 days before my period starts is always a slow loss week (month one I gained 0.7lbs and month two I only lost 0.7)...so I figure it is certainly something hormonal around ovulation for me.
Then the last weigh-in RIGHT before "aunt flo" is usually a pretty good loss (4.2lbs last month, 5.7 this month) and the one during or right after seems to be pretty big too. Then it slows down again.
I read in one of the many WLS books that it was very common for the authors (both women) to stall for a few weeks before their period and then drop like 10lbs in a few days right after.
Estrogen binds to fat cells...so I'm sure there is a hormonal connection...like that shift in hormones right before "AF" doesn't allow the fat cells to shrink or something. Plus the bloating doesn't help I'm sure.
Just what teh guys wanted to read about I'm sure. ROFL
The first 2 and 1/2 weeks after the operation I was loosing everyday. But since then ALL I can do is maintain between my periods.. but the whole week of my period I loose between 7 and 10 pounds... but as soon as it is done... I stop loosing and just maintain within 2 pounds. But usually I don't gain the 2 or so pounds till the week before my period.. but then just days before I start I loose the 2 or so pounds and then loose more after I start!!!
I can see me going into my PCP and literally asking for a pill to make me have my peroid last longer so I can loose more weight!!!
So who would of ever of thought that ANY woman would gladly welcome their period coming??????
You know come to think of it... I also see a bigger spurge of energy when I am on my period... anyone else see this in themselves?
Take care all...
