Weight Loss Window of Opportunity
My surgeons say the first 12-18 months, though they also acknowledge that for most people the majority of weight comes off in the first 6-9 months, then it slows. Basically it depends on each person, how they adjust, and how well they follow the "pouch rules." There is no set "window" of weight loss, in reality a person could lose small amounts for a long time after 18 months depending on their body and how well they follow the "rules" for success. (ie what has been shown to be most successful over time).
