Have you tried swallowing pills yet? I tried a Mucinex a few weeks ago and was sick. I'm too to try again. When did you start? Any tricks to it? Do you have a little food in your stomach?

Yes, a few weeks ago when I had to take Cipro (antibiotic) I got so sick when I crushed it and put in sf pudding, jello, etc. So my nurse said I could cut them into 4 or 5 pieces. I had no problem swallowing the pieces. Hope I never have to take Cipro again.. lol. They still don't want me swallowing pills and I'm 7 weeks out. The nurse said it's a few different reasons... 1) our new pouches process everything differently than our old stomachs 2) our "openings" in and out of our pouches/colon are now much smaller 3) there's a chance of something getting stuck not being able to take big drinks of water. So... I still get chewables or crush.

I am 8 weeks out and cut my pills in quarters. It hurts too much to chance one getting stuck. Kim M.
