I just wanted to know if anyone else feels this way. I am 9weeks today and still have no energy. I hear alot of people talk about how great they feel and how much energy they have but I am not that way. It takes all I can do to go to work all day. When I get home I am so burnt out. I can hardly go. I take my vitamines everyday. I get all my waterin and eat too. I have lost 70lbs as of today. I am so happy about the lose but just wish I felt better. I was just wondering if I was the only one! Thanks and God Bless Crystal 320/250/150

Your not the only one, it is getting better for me but I still am beat by the end of the day. I get home from work and can't move. I have a time just staying awake past 8. I go to bed by 10 and don't get my butt up until around 6:30-7, then what took me 30 mintues to do in the morning now takes me an hour to get going and out the door. The doc's office told me to give it a few months and then we will see. They also want me to be eating 6 smaller meals, instead of only 3 meals.

My surgery was Apr 18 and I'm kinda tired alot too. Some days are good but others I feel like I'm dragging. I'm wondering if I'm getting a little depressed to - you know not having food as my crutch to deal with things. I really need something exciting in my life. There was the big buildup to surgery and the expectation of a great life after but that will take time - we don't loose 100 lbs overnight. So kinda like the xmas morning thing - all the buildup and in 2 seconds it's over maybe. Hang in there though - it will get better I'm sure. Carolyn

I had surgery on April 10th and returned to work 4 weeks latter....first two days I had a lot of energy then the third day I stayed home and slept all day.....seems like I have a lot of energy for a few days then ...none. I went to GNC and they had a muti-vitamin (pill form) that is for active women who have undergone surgery.(red bottle...words active on it)...it is a large pill and I have to cru**** but it does seem to give me more energy than the chewable multi-vitamins ... and it is supposed to work on renewing your body from surgery. I have been taking that for two weeks and I seem to be able to go for 4-5 days now before I just want to sleep all day. Hope that helps

Crystal, I find that I am tired all the time, if I do all my housework early I am exhausted by lunchtime. I totally understand how you feel. I bearly eat somedays and I totally have to just force myself to eat. All I want to do on other days is sleep. This too shall pass. Terri

How are you doing on your B vitamins? I know that B-12 in particular is supposed to give you energy. I started liquid B complex today and have felt more energy than I have in a long time. Generally, I am right in your same boat. I am exhausted a lot of the time, BUT I am WAY more active now than I was 4 months ago when I began this whole process. So I think that's got something to do with it. Also, you have to remember, you're barely eating enough to sustain life, and your body is basically eating itself to give you energy, especially if you're exercising. The only thing I can tell you is make sure you get those B vitamins, and cut yourself a break. Go to bed an hour earlier if that's what you need. Eventually, everything kind of has a way of evening out, your weight loss will slow, and you'll get more natural energy. Plus, you won't be carrying around as much (if any ) extra weight either. Good luck, Julie

Hi Crystal The first 4 weeks I was tired a lot. And I had to go back to work 11 days after my surgery. I think maybe my trip to and from Colombia wore me out more than the surgery but I would get so tired in the early afternoon at work. At 5pm every day when I got of work, I had to take a nap. Then that messed up my nights sleep. After the 4th week I started having a lot more energy, that's when I started taking B12 sublingual. I'm now 7 weeks out and I have my days.. mostly I feel pretty good. About every 3rd or 4th day I get sluggish and it lasts for about 2 days. I go home from work, lay on the couch and don't move for hours. I'm not exercising like I should be either. But it's also been 95 degrees here which wears me out too. I'm taking all my vitamins, eating good and getting all my liquids in. Have you had blood work done yet? I haven't.. not until my 8th week. Maybe something's off. But I did talk to the nurse at my doctors office and she said losing weight this fast really takes it's toll on your body and when I told her how I was feeling she said it's perfectly normal to be tired and have little energy. Our bodies are having to work very hard, fighting to hold on to the weight (can you imagine a previously 300 pound body even WANTING to hold on to the weight??? lol). When the weight loss slows down is when we start really feeling good and having more energy. You have lost a lot so it only makes sense that your body is going through major changes. Congratulations on your 70 pound loss!! That's AWESOME!
