What was on your menu today?
I see this on some of the other boards and I thought it would be a great way to see what others eat and what amounts we all eat. Maybe we can post each day......
I will tell you that all I've eaten today was vegetable soup for "ALL" of my meals today! Not even a protein based soup UGH!!!!!

It is nice to know what everyone else is eating----
B- String Cheese stick
S- few bites of chix breast
L- 1/2 serving of Pintos and Cheese from Taco Bell
S- few bites of banana and ritz crackers snack bites with p/b in them
D- NOT A CLUE!!!!!
S- most likely a protein shake.....if tastebuds can handle it
I did drink like 40 oz's of water so far today which is good for me.....
I tried a few bites of grilled chesse last night with soup- my belly didn't like the low carb bread to much (first time trying bread products) Bread will have to wait!
I walked for about 1 1/2 to 2 miles today also.......
today wasn't a good day I didn't eat at all till lunch. I was in too much pain come to find out I have a bladder infection and possibly a kidney stone.. YEA ME *ugh*

L: Lettuce wraps so yummy!!
S: none unless you count cranberry juice, my surgeon told me that how important protien is to take in as much cranberry juice as I can. getting rid of the infection is more important
D: meatloaf! I am actually looking forward to this. I love my meatloaf with spinache and potatoes for my kiddo and hubby
S: probably have some cheese or SF popcicle.
well they are are just kind of waiting to see what happens with the pain. If the pain comes back again goto the ER and demand a CT scan.
Otherwise it's probably just the bladder infection. Thankfully the pain hasn't come back more then an ache.
This morning i took a dose of my loritab from surgery.. that helped tons.
when it wore off today I took a half dose of my kid's tylenol. Oh HELL NO. that is nothing but sugar. I couldn't take the other half.. I felt ill and was afraid I would dump.

I went to walgreens. My doc reccomended something in capsule form I could break open open and take. ididn't fundmuch. I did learn that adult tylenol is coming in liquid form though. However it's made with con syrup.. but the tylenol PM is made with sucrose! so I bought that for tonight. I also got some quick disolve calets that are fairly small. 500 MG. My surgeon's office okay'd pills.
Heck my gallstone med that started all this was a horse pill. he said if I can get it down whole great because it tastes like crap. the okayed my tylenol too. .and that it holding it at bay
add in the ocean spray light cranberry juice I am on now and I 've been told no more calcium carbonate. The calcium could be causing the stone if I have one, and not to take anything more untill I see the surgeon in July. Then calcium citrate again.
On a lighter note my meatloaf was awesome.. the whole couple bites I had
I agree w/you we should do this...I usually go to the march board because they do it and I try to get ideas. I have a hard time w/food and it helps!!
That being said...I think I have a stricture so i'm gonna stick to liquids until i go to the dr next thurs. He is in Atlanta and i'd rather wait and let them do the endoscopy rather than here..last time they did it here they didn't have me all the way out and it HURT!!! lol
so here is my menu...(my nut does not let us snack)
breakfast- can of extreme smoothie vanilla protein drink (only one I can tolerate)
lunch - 5 or 6 grapes and a small peice of low fat cheese (which came back up)
dinner- gonna probably have some sf pudding and maybe some watermelon..yummy

Ok.. let me think...
B: about 1/2 of a Dannon Lo Sugar/ Lo Carb Vanilla Yogurt (about 3 oz maybe?)
S: string cheese
L: 1/2 of a Lemon Pepper Tuna Lunch Kit (about 2 crackers and 2 oz of Tuna)
S: string cheese (do you see a pattern here, hehe i love string cheese)
D: One bit of turkey kilbasa, a few green beans and maybe 4 oz of Mashed Potatoes
S: beef jerkey (i love this as well)
I am trying to get all my water in.... but its hard!!! AHHH!!! The scale hasn't moved for almost 2 weeks
Well, I've been trying to stick to a "schedule" but it didn't work so well today. It's usually:
1 liter of water
1 protein drink
30 min
then a meal
Today it was:
1 liter of water. Then an additional 16 oz of water into which I mixed one of those premeasured tubes of Crystal Light Sunrise and two scoops of Fuzzy Navel protein. I'm not a big fan of the Fuzzy Navel (thought the sample was pretty good, what a mistake, but I'm determined to fini**** off) So into the protein shake I took some of the liter of water and watered it down a little bit.
Well, it too****il almost 11:30 am to finish this. At that point I decided to skip breakfast because it was so close to lunch. Generally, I can finish the water and protein by 10am, I was slacking today.
Had 1/2 cup Chi Chis preseasoned taco chicken with 1/4 cup of grated cheese. Finished about 3/4 of this.
Afternoon, more water. Intended to have another protein, forgot.
Evening, a little more water. 1/2 of a 3oz filet of salmon. Do not like fish in general, but decided to be a trooper after finding out that there was 18g of protein in this tiny piece of meat. Could not do it. Also had about 5 cheez it crackers.
As soon as I finish typing this, I'm going to go have another protein shake (I have chocolate here at home, and I have been mixing it with sugar free vanilla creamer and instant coffee -- I love it). Maybe a popsicle in an hour or so. Maybe some more water (bringing me to about 2.5 liters, which is what I generally get).
(by the way, breakfast would have been 1/2c cottage cheese, like every other day. It's a staple now)
