9 wks post op

Hi everyone. I am just now getting enough strength to work on my computer again. I had two complications with my surgery and had to have two emergency surgeries after the original surgery. The first one was two days after my original surgery, I had a hernia they had to do surgery on. The very next day I got a leak and they had to take me back into surgery. I was in the hospital for 6 weeks, went home on a Monday and back into the hospital on Friday with a high fever and an infection in my blood. This time I only had to stay the weekend and back home again on Monday. I am doing a lot better now. I have an open wound in my chest that I have to wear a wound vac. I will be glad when that thing is gone. I went to the doctor Monday June 5th and he said it would probably be 3 months before my wound would completely close up. On the brighter side I have lost 43 lbs. I had times in the hospital when I regretted having the surgery but now that I am feeling better I am glad I did. Thanks for listening.
