Hi all. I had surgery (Lap RNY) on apr. 24, 2006. I have been taking the flinstones chewable vitamins (2 a day). I just can't stand the taste now. I gag and just get sick. My doctor told me at 6 weeks out I can switch to a woman's multivitamin (i guess cause of our cycles). I was just wondering what you all were taking for a multivitamin. Thanks in advance, Angie

I was doing optisource but hae been looking for something new because I can't tolerate the taste. I tried one of my son's flintstones and that's not an option either. I've been thinking about trying a liquid of some type....they may be nasty but it's only liek 1oz a day, I can do that in shot format with a crystal light chaser and be okay. A chewable gets all stuck in my teeth and I'm tasting it for hours. So I guess I'm no help...but I can sympathize. BTW, DO NOT try the GNC chewable vitamin...NASTY NASTY NASTY!

My surgeon has the same recommendations for all of her patient's. One Centrum Silver (broken in half) in the morning and one Centrum regular (broken in half) in the evening - Until you can swallow a whole pill.

Centrum Chewables. Two a day. Before surgery I liked Flinstones better. Now I like these better. The plus, they are chewable. The negative, they cost a bit more. If we are cycling, we women have to add additional iron, but if not (I'm not because of an IUD with low levels of local hormone), just extra calcium. Hope that helps! Heidi L-S

Costco has a wonderful liquide multi-vitamin. Its called LiquiMax Complete Nutrition. It is wonderful and you only have to take 2 tablespoons a day. I love it because it doesnt taste that bad, for a vitamin and it is liquid so it obsorbs. Hope this helps.

Jamieson Laboratories makes a great Adult chewable Multi-vitamin called Vita-vim. It has no sugar, starch, fillers etc. It has a mild berry taste. I buy mine at Walmart.

I take the orange flavor bariatric advantage and love them. Worth the money. I've also tried centrum chewables and they were ok, but taste kinda like the flintstones.
Check on it!

I take the flintstones chewables. 2 a day. They take just like gummy bears to me and since I started taking them, my nails and hair have been growing like never before.
