Hi Everybody, I haven't been on line much lately and I have missed this list. I just read several posts and feel so much better knowing that we are doing this together. I keep seeing the same issues that I have and it is comforting. I have not been really well since the surgery. My Crohn's Disease has flared and I have a lot of trouble with nausea. It is not constant anymore, though, and I have never given up my hope that time will heal all.... I read the posts on weight loss and I started laughing at myself. I was actually dissapointed at 6 weeks that I had only lost 47 pounds. That is actually almost 8 pounds a week if it is averaged out! I couldn't stop gaining weight before the surgery, much less lose even a pound. Now at almost 8 weeks out (my date was 4/13), I have lost a total of 60 pounds! Obviously, the rate of loss goes up with how high we start. Only people close to me are even noticing that I have lost weight so clearly I started high. Anyway, the point of all this is to thank you all for taking the time to post here. I will try to sign on more frequently and post more. You are all so valuable to me and my recovery. Dotsie

Congratulations! You've lost ALOT! I'm jealous! I am 7 weeks out and plateaued for nearly 3 weeks. I lost 26 pounds the first 3 weeks, then 4 pounds over the next 3 weeks and then BAM, over night, lost 5 pounds then another pound the next day. So I'm down 36 pounds. I started out at 295 but NOONE knew I weighed that much, LOL. I've always looked 30 pounds less than what I weigh, no matter if i was 180 or 295. So as my friends always say, you better THANK GOD you don't look like what you weigh, LOL. I've been getting tons of compliments lately at having lost a "ton" of weight. And it's funny, because I haven't lost a "ton", just 36 pounds. But I definitely feel great and I'm glad I can breathe in my clothes now. We have a long journey ahead of us! I'm glad I have yall to share it with. Take care!

Hey there. My surgery date was 4/14 and as of last Friday (I only weigh once a week) I was down 31 lbs. I have had some issues after surgery with a stricture that has had to be dilated twice and nausea but things see to be going better now. Exercising more and I have a ton of energy. Keep up the good work all. Cheryl
