Amount of Food Everyone Is Eating?

I feel like I can eat more and more food these days.... LOL when I say more I am talking like 2-3 oz's grilled chix breast 3-4 bites of asparagis (?sp?) and a few bites of potato and I am now where near feeling full? My day- 3/4 of an egg with sprinkle of cheese S- 8 oz protein shake L-1 chicken tender S- Cheese curds and 4 wheat thins and above was dinner It feels like I am eating to much. I have drank almost 45oz's of water so far today.. What is everyone up too? Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Hi Jenni!! I'm a couple days ahead of you and eating a bit more. I normally eat about 3/4 cup of food at each meal with 1-2 protein shakes a day. Today I had: B: 1 TBSP cream of wheat cooked in 4 oz water with 2 TBSP shredded cheese and a 2.5 oz container of baby food prunes. Lunch: 2 oz of turkey meatloaf (Italian style with cheese), about 2-3 TBSP mashed potatos, 2 apricot halves. Mid afternoon: 8 oz protein shake Supper: 2 oz beef meatloaf, 1/3 c. Lipton noodles (not one of my best choices but they were pretty good) and 1/3 c green beans. Evening: 8 oz protein shake. I also drank an additional 56 oz of fluid (my nut allows the shakes to be counted as fluid so I hit 72 oz today) and walked around 2.5 miles (I normally walk 2-3 miles, 4-6 times a week). Melissa

I'm still doing 3 oz of food when I can. Seems like lately, nothing wants to stay down and/or it doesn't appeal to me when I get it. I've been sticking with protein drinks/shakes, string cheese, thinly sliced roast beef, jello and yogurt. I can't seem to handle Salmon, any type of steak and tuna. I'm tired of eggs and soup. If I cut a shrimp up, I can handle it. I wish I liked cottage cheese. I need more choices that agree with my new little friend (pouch).

I am eating a half cup of food, three times a day. I eat lots of cottage cheese (this goes down when nothing else does), pureed refried beans, pureed anything else. I tried some pureed pot roast with carrots and potatoes last night, but didn't eat much of it. This was a couple hours after I tried eating about three small grilled chicken strips which I thought I chewed really well, but ended up coming back anyhow . So I will be having the roast for lunch this afternoon I think. I also have two protein shakes a day, and about two liters of water, though I don't necessarily get that every day, and I want to get MORE than that per day, especially with summer coming on, and needing more water to replace that which gets sweated out etc. Are you able to eat actual food and get it to stay down? Did you have open or Lap? I don't mind staying on pureed food for a while longer, but I'm scared that it is going to take me a lot longer than I anticipated to graduate to the next level. I feel like I can eat a TON more food! One egg? Nahh, I can eat two, count 'em 2, scrambled eggs. You know those little pop-top cans of chicken? I can eat one of those... on a Low carb little tortilla! I feel like such a WLS freak.

I am eating about 2 ouces with each meal. If I can finish that. I am struggling to keep things down. I have an appointment with a doctor tomorrow to ee if I need coped for a stricture, hopefully not. I also see my surgeon.

A normal day for me (weekends throw me off my schedule) would include: B: 1/4c GoLean Crunch w/ 1/2 c.skim milk Snack: 1oz lowfat cheese, 10-12 red seedless grapes (or other fruit)-eaten over the course of 45min. Lunch- lean cuisine or smart one (I only eat about a 1/3 of it, I try to focus on the meat first then the veggie) Snack: yogurt or fruit Dinner: 1 scrambled egg w/milk & cheese, or 1/2 of a small quesadilla, or 3oz chicken or roast, plus a few bits of veggies. snack: depends on what I'm hungry for Oh, and I drink 4-5 16.9oz bottles of water (1 or 2 of those mixed w/Crystal Lite)

Here is a rundown of my "normal" day..... B- 1 ounce cheese stick L- 1/4-1/2 cup soup D- 1/4-1/2 cup of chilli bedtime snack- SF popcycle sometimes 1/3 cup of peanuts!!! * I am struggling with food right now! I don't seem to want anything...but yet I am hungry...and I have stopped focusing on trying to get protein drinks down for now because they make me sick everytime I try...I will try again in a few weeks. Doing well getting my vitamins/calcium/water in these days Oh, I'd love to try a quesadilla...what did you put on it? What kind of wrap? I am soooo craving mexican food. Maybe I will see if hubby wants to go to DonPablo's next weekend. I could probably get in a few chips and salsa and 1/4-1/2 a quesadilla! yummy!!

Wow! I can eat a lot more food than most of you. Believe me I wish i couldn't but I'm begining to think my pouch is the XL size. I can eat a whole lean cuisine. 2 eggs, a hamburger, 1/2 of a boston market meal, basically i stop only because i know I should. I havent found any foods that make me sick and havn't felt full yet. I think after reading this post I am going to call my doc. I am about 7 weeks post op and have lost 47 pounds. Does that sound about right? or am i losing to slow.

I had a lap RNY. and the only thing that has made me sick so far is when I woke up and forgot I had this new pouch and ate 3 crackers in a row without chewing..... Needless to say I had my first and only bout with the foamies. Thank god for this page because I would have freaked out had I not read about them. We were camping and I just spaced- I guess I was feeling so good but had that head hunger??? Krista when you eat a hamburger is it only the meat or a bun too? I so want to eat bread but am scared to death too......I have eaten the chicken out of lean cuisine. Today I am so slacking on the water only have about 30 ozs in, it just doesn't want to go in. Thanks everyone for your replies it is wonderful to know we are not in this alone! I have lost 41 lbs since surgery with 54 since I started......
