Stacey, I have so many anymore I am not sure which one to use. I have actually started using the weight loss from when I started my wls classes. That would be 50 pounds since 2/1, 31 of that is since surgery. I have too many doctors out there now to keep up with what each one says that I have lost. It is crazy sometimes. Keep up the good work. Deanna

I always include the weight I lost just prior to surgery - it was a requirement.... and it all counts as far as I'm concerned.

If you lost the weight, you lost the weight. Just because it happened before or after surgery doesn't discount the fact that it is gone. If I decide to include it with posts or whatever, I include both, like this: 399/371/330/160 consult/surgery/now/goal Guess that would be -28 preop, -69 now? Julie

I use total loss too. I've only lost 21.2lbs since surgery, but I lost 16lbs doing the liquid diet right before. The way I see it, if I hadn't been having WLS I wouldn't have even lost those 16lbs so they are also because of the surgery. But I agree that if you've lost teh weight you lost it...regardless of when.
