Female question
Hey Ladies,
Have any of you stopped menstrating since your surgery? I know a few of you got yours right on time, but have any of you not had a period since surgery? I am almost 6 weeks out and have yet to have one. I read around on other boards and it seems that its not all that uncommon, but it still makes me nervous. The hubby and I are using condoms for extra protection, because a pregnancy right now would not be good! Im just curious if Im the only one in this group that is still waiting for it to start back up.
I've had my period 3 times since surgery!!! I'm sure it's hormonal but you may want to test to be on the safe side.

I'm glad i'm not the only one. I didn't have periods until after i had my surgery because I have an IUD and i just don't have one. Well i've had my period 3x SINCE surgery and it's drivin g me insane. And get this! I'm getting acne and I have NEVER, do you hear me, NEVER had acne! My friend was like, i don't think i've EVER seen you with a pimple on your face, and we've known each other since we started college 10 years ago!
I've been very irregular this past year... I had my period DURING surgery and then I just got my first one since surgery a few days ago which would put me around 6 weeks out of surgery. I'm not too worried about it. My gyno said that if it doesn't straighten itself out in 6 months with the weight loss that she would do something about it. It's such a catch 22... we are relieved when it finally arrives but hate that its here ya know? lol Good luck to ya
