Liquid Tylenol?

Can a RNY patient take Liquid Tylenol? I would like to take it, but worried about the sugar content. What options have you tried? Kim M.

Hi Kim - yes, I have tried the liquid Tylenol and didn't have a problem with the sugar. (Wonder if that means I don't dump?) Unfortunately, it didn't work very well for the type of pain I had (pulled muscle) and my surgeon said to take some of the liquid pain meds I had left over from surgery. Other than that episode, I haven't needed any pain medication. Good luck! Bonnie

I take reg. tylenol caplets. They seem to go down good. They are the fast release kind. My dr. said they where okay. Check with your dr. and be sure. I take them one at a time. Liquid Tylenol tasted so bad to me I would gag. I hope this helps. God Bless Crystal
