Where's everybody at?

I'm back to work full time so haven't had so much time to be on-line. I also have my oldest daughter graduating from high school this week and my youngest daughter graduating from junior high (still a big thing - dress the whole bit) the week after and school concert, etc, so I've been really busy. I'm doing pretty good - down about 32 lbs from surgery day and about 68 lbs from my highest weight. I have been noticing that sometimes things are harder to go down - it's like I get these giant air bubbles and it hurts like heck. Have only "slimed" once but this has made me really picky about my food. I'm not eating much and really for the most part don't want to. All I want is popsicles. I do eat my protein at my meals first but like someone else said somewhere - that's usually all I get. Been eating grapefruit alot too - get my liquid and fruit at once. I'm thirsty all the time - just want to guzzle down some water to get rid of the thirst but of course can't. This weekend was my hubby and my daughter's birthdays so I was faced with the birthday cake thing. Got cakes that I wouldn't like so I wasn't tempted. This was hard though - have found some SF chocolate and candies that I can have for a little treat now and then. Also went to the movies yesterday and tried a little popcorn. Went down ok but only had a little. I have to travel in a couple of weeks and the thought of eating in restaurants and planes for a few days is scary - so trying things out here and there. It's scary though not knowing how you'll react. I really wish I could get out of this trip (work). I haven't gone back to the gym yet but I think it's about time so God help me get the courage to go back..... Nice to hear how everyone's doing!!!!! Carolyn

You are starting at alot lower weight than most people on the board, so it will come off much slower. Don't panic, it will come off, but if you are worried, ask your doctor or his staff. They should be able to reassure you, and they may have some pointers too. Blessings! Heidi L-S
