B12- how often?

I just read the post on bioten and was wondering how often does everyone take their B12? My aftercare manual says once a week for the under the tongue kind, but the bottle says everyday. I know my Mom takes it everyday as well- she did not have the surgery it is just part of her vitamins. I need any kind of help I can get because I am so tired all the time, I am going back to work full time Monday and I am not sure if I will be able to stay awake sitting at my desk all day long? Thanks and have an awesome day!

I take the sublingual once a day. Our surgeries were the same day. I had to go back to work on the 9th and I sit at a desk all day too. Usually in the afternoon I'm so tired I've needed a nap. But the B-12 must really be helping because I have SO much more energy today than just a week ago. I also just started eating soft/semi-solids yesterday.

I don't think I could have stayed awake long enough to work all day! Thank goodness I still have lots of vacation left for 1/2 days when I need them....... My Dr's office called and said I only need to take it once a week- but I think I am going to shot for every other day and see if that helps! I can't eat much still!

I get (or will get) a B-12 by injection once a month. I go for my first one tomorrow and I sure hope it adds a little turbo to my charger.

I am doing the injections too and it really did give me more energy. I did not think I felt any tireder than I did before surgery, but last week I was supercharged for a couple of days. Some others that I know have ended up doing the injectible about every 3 weeks instead of 4. That 4th week they just drag if they don't. Others do just fine with once a month. My surgeons still use the injectable because they know it works, there is less monitoring needed, and it is much cheaper. Heidi L-S

Heidi, How soon after the injection did you notice the difference? I had mine at 830 this morning. The nurse told me I should really feel it tomorrow. I got a 1000mg dosage. What dosage are you getting?

I take mine every other day. It seems to give me enough energy that way. I don't kow about going back to work as I have not done that yet (procrastinating) BUT I figure when I do, if I need extra energy, I will go to taking it once a day. Ask your surgeon what he thinks.
