The first couple of weeks after surgery, I had no swelling in my legs or ankles, but ever since I went back to work, my ankles are swelling again. I had a lot of trouble with this before surgery and I took 2 differen****er pills, but my surgeon took me off of my water pills after surgery. He said that I needed the fluid. What should I do now that my legs are so painfully swollen now? They do go down some at night, but they are back swollen again in no time after I get up and get going. I do try to get up and walk some during the day, however, I have a desk job and that is a little difficult to just get up and walk much. I also haven't lost any weight in a couple of weeks. It is getting pretty depressing.

I would call the Doctor and see what he says. Maybe you could talk to your boss about having to get your feet up a couple of times a day? I hope you get some relief soon. Lizzie

Are you taking in plenty of fluids? Take care to get in plenty of fluids. If you are not, your body will retain more fluids, resulting in more swelling. Also is there any way you can elevate your feet and legs up when you are working? Best of luck! Heidi L-S
