How long after surgery should I/ did you wait to start taking Biotin again. It was doing wonders for me pre-op, but I am not sure if I can take pills yet. I know I would have to chop them in 2, but can I take them at 5-almost-6 weeks out??

This might be a dumb question but will our bodies absorb the regular amount of Biotin needed before the surgery now? Example I take 2 chewables vitamins, one at different times so it gets absorbed into the body? Would you need to take 2 of them instead of just one?

Is this the supplement that is supposed to be good for hair and nails. I think this is what someone suggested at one of our meetings. Either biotin or biosil. She said she had a liquid type that she just mixed with her water and swore by it. I don't want to lose my hair and I'm pretty sure I'm lacking in protein. I'm taking my vitamin pills now instead of the Flinstones chewables but am bad with my calcium cause they're so big. So is biotin the answer to hair loss. Carolyn

Biotin is the answer to the hair problem. My doc told me biotin and co enzyme q10 are good for hair loss. I started taking both before my surgery. Bariatric Advantage has the biotin small enought to swallow and chewable calcium. You can get 30 to 50 mg of Co Enzyme Q10 from GNC.
