I went to my first ever real live gastric bypass meeting last night with a friend and I sat by a very toxic person. She was judging the skinny women, you know the ones who had surgery and look fabulous like they never had it, cause there so far out. Well she was just going off about how they could never have been as big as us. I just couldn't believe that there was someone at the gastric bypass meeting judging peoples sizes!!!!!! I told her I plan to look like that too. I get alot more info on this website though than the meetings will give me I think.

Its too bad she doesnt have enough self confidence to sit there and not say a word about how hard those women have worked to get the way they look.

You know, Some people are just never happy, no matter what happens. I hope none of the women she was pickin at heard her, because I'm sure they were all MO at one time too. I would just make sure never to sit next to or near her again, I am sure there are other at the meeting that will be great support for you in your efforts to be a beautiful, HEALTHY human being.

That is too ironic. (About Dr. Phil's show) How much you want to bet, that if this toxic woman successfully loses weight, she will be toxic about the people who are MO and don't have surgery! My grandmother was thin, not MO, but she was very bitter about alot of things. She couldn't just love someone, if she loved them she had to "Help" them by letting them know their every weakness, and what she thought about it. It was very, very sad, because deep inside she really was a good person. I do understand a little bit how unbelievable it can be to believe someone several years out and successfully maintaining a new thin body, was ever was heavy. Even though I beleived the gals at my support group, it is SO-O-O different to see a thin person and hear how much weight they've lost, than to actually see their before pictures. I am absolutely awestruck every time I see the before pictures. God Bless you and remember, STAY POSITIVE. Heidi L-S
