Bad night. Ugh!
Hello all, my mom and I went to my Pendleton support group. There was a dietitian there tonight. She answered a few questions that I had. Afterwards my mother and I went to Wendy's and had a bowl of chili. I had about 4 bites and was puking. The chili was awful. Talk about a miserable ride back home. Ugh! I threw up all the way home. I will never have their chili again... From now on only stuff I eat at home because chili has been a very good friend to me since surgery.
That's a shame Jennifer. Wendy's chili is one of the few "staples" I have been living on for 2 weeks and have done great with it. In fact I've never heard of anyone else not tolerating it. It's strange how some things are tolerated by some people and some things aren't.
Take care
Denise
Starting to phase to regular diet this weekend
I think it was a bad batch, because it made my mother sick and she hasnt even had surgery yet. Anyway, I know we are going to complain about it. It didnt have much meat in it and I think I found three beans. So they did something wrong. Congrats on your regular diet soon. You will find that you stick to a lot of the foods you have been eating. My Dr. put me on regular foods last week and I find that I eat a lot of the same foods still, just because I cant tolerate a lot of the solid foods. I tried a piece of chicken and it just sat in my stomach like a rock. Ugh! But there is one thing I found that settles pretty good and it may sound crazy, but pork rinds. Good protein for the calories and crunchy. Yummy.
Thanks for the support.
Jennifer
