Hey Terrie, We need to remember that we just had major surgery. Even though we may feel good our bodies still have to catch up with our brains. I have seen where we may hit a stall in weight loss but if we continue with what we know to do right , the loss will start again. I have lost 32lbs in 4 weeks and 17 1/2 in. I have never lost that much weight in 4 weeks before. I know that has to have a major impact on my body. Just keep doing your water and protein and it will start again. You really are doing real good!!! God Bless Crystal

Boy, it's times like these when I'm glad I'm still SMO. I can't get a scale in the store that will measure me yet. If I could, I think I'd go nuts. I went from my last preop (well, it was only a weigh in) on 4/14 all the way to 5/9 without weighing myself. I knew I was losing, I could feel it in my clothes. People told me they thought I was losing (though I still think a lot of that is power of suggestion). I can't believe you have time to weigh. Between drink water, drink protein, stop drinking water, start eating, time that for 30 minutes, wait to drink water, drink more water, drink more protein, maybe work some (haha) I would not have the time! And the only reason I weighed on 5/9 is because I had a nutritionist appointment and they made me. The scale said -23 pounds. I was shocked. So I stopped by my surgeon's office (in the next building, his is the only scale I trust) and it was in reality -18. This doesn't bother me, I'm only three weeks out. That's slightly less than a pound a day. Good enough for me. Add that to preop loss and I'm -46. Even better! If you do insist on weighing yourself each day, at least do it at the same time each day to keep it consistent. My boss, who is all of 110 soaking wet said that even she weighed 5lbs heavier in the evening than in the morning. I know this sounds broken recordy, but you didn't put the weight on in a week or a month. It's not going to come off in that timeframe. Concentrate on walking, protein and water (not necessarily in that order). The weightloss will come! You can't help it! Julie 399/371/353/160

Thanks for all your post. I am really okay with the scale not moving I was just surprised. It also made me realize I was being silly weighing myself everyday. I was just having so much fun because I could weigh myself at home again. I am really happy with a 24 pound weight loss. It would have taken me 12 weeks of hard work and eating very controled food to get to this point. In truth I had just stopped losing so it would have taken even longer. For 16 days out from surgery I am doing really well. I have reached the tired stage but I know it will pass soon and I am still getting my walks in as well as my food and my water. Terrie 364/337/165
