What did you eat ?
Good Morning all !
I was so happy with all the responses to this post yesterday ! You are all doing so well with your eating , Good for you ! Well here is my menu for yesterday ! I must say though that my day was not the best in the way of eating as I had an appt. with my surgeon to get my G-tube removed and the drive is 2 hour's , 1 hour up and 1 hour back then i waited in his office for an hour as well so it kinda interfeared with my dinner ! I did drink several ounces of water though !
B- 2 tbls. oatmeal
2 tbls. turkey bacon
2 tbls. banana
L- nothing but did drink my fluids which was
4 oz. skim milk mixed with
4 oz. carb countdown choc. milk and
1/2 scoop Whey protein powder
D- 6 tbls. Wendy's chili
S - (first one since surgery !)
4 oz. skim milk
4 oz. carb countdown choc. milk
1/2 scoop whey protein
That is it for me ! I feel so much releif having the G-tube out now ! Freedom at last ! My doc said that I am right on track and that I am doing great ! So I am very happy with that !
I have lost a total of ..........22 lbs. since surgery , going by my surgeon's scales ! Yipee !

Lunch-
a few bites of wendy's chili ALSO
Snack- a few bites of yogurt
S-
2 TBSP of Hamb/noodles
before bed I drank almost 8 ozs of choc whey protein.
Just wondering if anyone else can't stand the taste of their vitamins now? I didn't mind them before surgery now just chewing them makes me sick! I am using flintstones complete ones.

I still am not eating alot but I drink and try to get my protein in. Here it is.
B- 1 C. Fat Free Milk
1/3 C. Choco. Whey Protein
L- 2 Cheese & peanut Butter Crackers
S- 1 C. Fat Free Milk
1/3 C. Choco Whey Protein
D- 1 oz. Cheese
1 oz. Steak
Water and sf tea.
That's it. So we just keep keeping on.

Yesterday's menu....
Breakfast:
1/2 cup of oatmeal with cinnamin and Splenda brown sugar
Snack:
1/4 cup of no sugar applesauce with cinnamin sprinkled on
Lunch:
1/2 cup of egg drop soup
Snack:
1/2 cup of chocolate peanut butter smoothie
Dinner:
Inside of a potpie (1/4 cup)
1/4 green beans with garlic and onion powder
Snack:
1/2 cup of that chocolate peanut butter smoothie
Drank lots of water and my apple nectar extasy protien drink in between.

Here's what I had yesterday - not a real good day for protein though but trying new things in small portions - had 1/2 c chili initially but because mostly I took the liquid was able to have more. Also first day having pineapple that wasn't pureed.
1/4 c pineapple
10 teddy graham cookies with 2 tbsp peanut butter
1/4 c spagetti
1/2 c LF no sugar ice cream
1 c home made chili
30 g cheddar cheeze with 5 crackers
Plus drinking water in between getting up to around 6 glasses I think

here's what i had:
B- 2oz of baked cod [leftovers from the night before]
2 brocolli florets
S - 4oz Fuzzy Navel Protein w/ CL Lemonade [12g protein]
L - 2oz of a crab dip [lump crabmeat, FF cheddar cheese, FF mayo, FF cr. cheese, dijon mustard and horseradish] - fairly protein fortified!
used 1 saltine for some crunch
S - 4oz Fuzzy Navel w/ CL Lemonade
D - 2 oz meatloaf, with FF beef gravy to moisten
2 slices steamed zucchini, with FF cheddar melted on top
1 tsp mashed potatoes w/ FF cheddar mixed in.
I think i got at least 50-60oz of liquids in as well. I took a 2 hour nap in the afternoon, so I missed out on some prime drinking time. :o( lol
I'm going to have more of that meatloaf for dinner. I have 4 more ready made plates of it! lol
Here's what I had today
Breakfast
1/2 c. carnation instant breakfast/skim milk/100% Whey protein
1/2 c. oatmeal
1/4 c. blueberries
Snack
1 stick of skim milk string cheese
Lunch
2 tbls Old El Paso shredded taco chicken
2 tbls ff Sargento's bistro Mexican cheese
Snack
S'mores pure protein bar 15 g. protein
Dinner
2 tbls baked chicken thigh
2 tbls asparagus/spagetti squash
Probably a protein smoothie later. I've been having 1/2 bottle of Isopure with 3 frozen strawberries, 1/2 banana, 3 ice cubes, and 2 tbls lite cool whip.
