Topic: im obese
I know that may sound funny to someone who has never been overweight, but I know people at OH understand. I started this journey as a super morbidly obese person with a bmi of 60.2, and as of yesterday i am officially just obese with a bmi of 39.4. Now unless I had some co-morbidities (which i didnt have prior to my surgery) then I probably would not qualify for the surgery. YEAHHHHHHH MEEEEE. just had to toot my own horn a little. I fit myself into a real size 20 pair of jeans yesterday, down from a starting size of 32 stretchies without pockets or zippers. I am so greatful for all that has happened this past year, and look forward to reaching my own goals this year.

I've done okay. I got really light headed and realized I had only taken in a protein shake by lunchtime no water, no nothing . So...the ladies in the cafeteria at the school brought me a piece of Boar's Head ham to make me feel better. Now....I could kick myself. I should have just said no and drank some milk. Maybe I'm not as ready for this as I thought. After the ham I had some cream chix. soup, s/f pudding, decaff. tea, and some water. My protein intake so far is 55 gms, and I still have dinner and some snacks to go! Teresa

Topic: RE: Who had a WOW moment(s) this week?
Congrats to all of you on your wow moments. I too had several wow moments this past week. The first one may sound silly to some people, but to me it was a HUGE WOW moment. I actually took a bubble bath with my 3 yr old daughter this past weekend. mind you, in the past I wasnt even able to fit into a tub by myself, but this weekend I was in the bath, and my daughter decided to crawl in with me, and there was still lots of room in the tub. 2nd was I went and bought a whole bunch of new clothes for christmas, and they are too big on me. YEAH...and the biggest wow moment came yesterday when I fit into a size 20 regular size jeans. Before surgery I was in a size 30/32 stretch jean, and for me to fit into a regular pair of used gloria vanderbuilt size 20 jeans that zip and have pockets....was AMAZING. Keep up the great work everyone. I am still about 50 lbs short of my own goal, but 2/3 of the way to my goal and feeling great. Down 145lbs as of yesterday. YEAHHHHHH. Anita B 420/275/220 soon

Hi Everyone, That going to bed early must be contagious thru the time zones. I was asleep by 9:30 last nite. I think it is food withdrawl for me!! Seriously, yesterday was much harder than I thought it would be. I just wanted something to CHEW! But I made it and so far Day 2 is going okay. My meals will be a repeat of yesterday. B - Protein Shake made with 4 oz Skim & 4oz Crystal lite S - Yougurt L. - 1 c Beef Broth, 1/2 c sf jello S - Protein Shake made w all Crystal Lite D - 1 c Cream of Chicken Soup made w/Skim Milk S - Protein Shake 4oz Skim Milk, 4 oz Crystal lite I ended up with a total of 114 g Protein, 62 g Carbs and 742 calories. I'm thinking this is too much protein so I'm going to play with it today but that cuts back the calories and I dont want to go too much lower so I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Any suggestions? I was able to get in 64 oz of water / Crystal lite and I going to try to up that today. I didn't get any kind of exercise today cause it was a really crappy rainy day here and quite frankly I was too involved in what I was going to eat next. Hopefully today will be better.

It was late last night when I posted my first day challange and I have to make a correction. My starting weight was 289, and I put my current weight at 179 apparently I can't add ha ha it should have been 177. Ok now that it done. Day 2 YAHOO!!!! I am one of those that weighs everyday can't help it. I got on the scales this morning and I am at 176. One of the two extra lbs is gone. What I am excited about it once I get back to 175 getting over this hump and losing the last 25 lbs. I think my day will pretty much be the same as yesterday but I may change things around a bit from lunch and dinner to make it not seem exactly the same. Take care and I am cheering for all of you as well! Tara 289/176/150

Good morning, Joanne! Of course the sun is shining here in southern California today! It was just a fluke that it was raining yesterday. I, too, went to bed with a semi-headache. I think it was beer withdrawal It was hard to go back to all liquids when I know that I am able to eat solids. The one problem I have had is that, although I am peeing, I am not pooping. Just like the first two months after surgery!! Maybe this is what caused the headache. Hmmmmm . . . I'll think of something that will help. Here's to a great second day. Judy

WHoo hooo .. those are some awesome WOWs.. congrats. Lol.. getting hit on by a 16 yr old.. that is so cool!!! Congrats on reaching goal. My biggies the last few weeks: 1) Looking in the mirror from that front and back - actually liking what I see 2) Putting on a bathing suit and not freaking out or tearing apart all things I don't like about my body but seeing the things I do like 3) Making it to Onderland before 2006 4) Low Rise Jeans looking good now 5) Size 12's fitting even better 6) Recovering from D&C and back in the gym 4 days later doing 45 min of high intensity cardio with no problem!
