Topic: Does anyone feel normal yet?
Hi Everybody, I had surgery 4-25-05 and am down 71 lbs. Down from 345 to 274, size 32 to 22/24. I was wondering if anybody feels normal again. I still have problems with nausea and can't eat alot of stuff, Thank God for protein drinks. Im sick of eggs and cheese. There are days when I can eat just about anything, then others where everything in comes up. PLEASE tell me there is light at the end of the tunnel. I would just like to feel good. At this point I dont care what I eat as long as I feel normal again. Any advise is welcome!

Congrats! I felt that way when I got into the 2's. I'll probably faint when I hit the ONES. Carol

You know... I have that grumbling feeling all the time... my co-workers can hear it because it is so loud. I was told by another WLS person that it is the sound of your food digesting. I don't know how true that is and it sounds a little weird... but there are a lot of weird things that go on after this surgery

Topic: I am back!
Well, I had surgery on 04/05/05. I had many many many complications and did not get out of the hospital until 06/10/05. I am happy to say that I am feeling much better. I still have 2 more surgeries, but they won't be until 04/06. I wanted to thank everyone for their support!!

I have been stuck for two weeks too *sigh*. It is very frustrating but people have told me that after a long plateau you might drop like 5-10 pounds when you get out of the plateau. Man, I hope so!!! I am dying for that scale to start moving again!!! Shree

Topic: RE: Have you tried protein tablets?
I have tried the Unjury unflavored too. I guess I am just hypersensitive. I was putting it in milk - that way I was getting the protein from the powder and from the milk, but it would upset my stomach!! Also, even though they say it is unflavored/tasteless, I can still smell or taste that "protein" smell/taste......Man, things have changed since surgery! Before surgery I absolutely LOVED all flavors of NECTAR protein too - NOT ANYMORE!!! I just think protein tablets would be such an awesome idea to just swallow with some water and be done with it (if they exist.) Gonna keep looking - and of course if anyone knows out there share your secret!! THANKS! Gina

Try making your favorite homemade recipe with splenda and skim or fat free milk then add 1 box of instant vanilla pudding to the mix to make it rich. Tastes great and no guilt!!! Teresa
