What's been going on with me is that the weight is jumping around within the same couple of pounds for a while. I'm losing a little bit now--not very quickly, though. For a while I wasn't losing anything, poundage wise, but I was still losing inches, cuz I got into a smaller size of jeans that I hadn't been able to fit into a couple of weeks before. It's quite disconcerting, but as long as I'm making progress, it's a positive thing. I put a new picture up on my profile.

I know this one! I ate a dozen cookies from the dessert table at my best friend's son's wedding this past weekend. It took me half an hour but I ate them and didn't dump.... damn it. I've gotten frustrated and thought "well what the hell". Bad habit from the past which I am determined to nip in the bud again. At least I still dump from french fries or this month could get ugly.
Keep your chin up and press on.

Topic: RE: How much has everybody lost????
I'm down 69 pounds, and my surgery was 4/6/05. It seems I'm on par with the majority of the folks here - which is good because I was feeling for awhile like I was way behind. What I'm thrilled about is I'm able to do things I couldn't have even contemplated prior to surgery -- like climbing 250 steps to the top of Dingmans Falls in PA, and "tubing" behind my brother's boat!!! LIFE IS GOOD!!!! I'll take a little hair loss any-day!

Topic: RE: I'm not sure if I'm hungry
I have experienced the same thing with the "runny nose" trouble. I find that if I stop eating I am fine. If I don't stop eating I will get sick.

Just jumping in to let you know I'm having the same problem. Between the hair falling out and no weight loss - its all becoming a little frustrating. This is one of several plateaus I've hit in 4.5 months, each one lasts a bit longer - EEKK.
I've also noticed that I'm letting that frustration bring back some of my old - and very poor - coping methods. Its just a small bite here and there or a handful of this or that. Bottom line - I'm eating things that I don't need and they have no nutritional value. The extra calories certainly can't be helping. I'm trying very hard to learn to take a walk and a drink of water when I am feeling so frustrated!

Topic: RE: weight loss slow down and stalled
I'm at a big slowdown, too. I've been upset by it as well. I think we're all so excited by the big losses in the beginning, that we're frustrated by those little losses now.

NO!! Don't pull your hair out. If you are cursed like me, it will start falling out all by itself any day now. I'm losing strands by the handful this month. Thank God I had fairly thick hair to start with but if this keeps up, I'll be bald by Christmas.

I think it's normal...so many people on this board are complaining of the same thing. I think we've all plateau'ed at the same time. I'm about to pull all my hair out in frustration...
