I can sympathize with your frustration as I am not the most patient of women, but you are doing wonderfully well. If you were losing any faster, your body wouldn't have a chance to assimilate and your skin will sweep the floor as you walk. Keep your chin up and good luck and you continue your journey.

Hey Stacie - 80 lbs is awesome!! I know it can be hard not to focus on the scale but think about how much you lost when you dieted pre-surgery. It had to be slower then the rate you are losing now and in some cases your weight probably was going up rather than down.
I am losing about a couple lbs a week. So far since 4/19 I've lost 52 lbs. The scale has been reading 230 for days. I know the 220's will be here eventually and this time next year maybe the 120's or 130's anyway.. it's going in the right direction.
I agree.. it does get frustrating at times but try not to let it get you down and don't compare yourself to anyone else. As long as you are following the pouch rules, getting in your fluids, taking your vitamins, getting in exercise, etc that is about all you can do. Do the things that are in your control instead of worrying about the things not in your control. Celebrate how far you have come already instead of punishing yourself for how much further you have to go. Think of all the things you can do now that you couldn't do before with those 80lbs on your body!
Good Luck!

Ugh. This is sooo frustrating. I know I shouldn't compare, but it seems like everyone is passing me by. I've lost about 80 pounds in 4 months, and yes, I know that's wonderful, but I started at 382. It just seems like I should have lost a lot more by now. I want it all off NOW!!!!!!

Hi Tom,
I buy the Power Crunch bars. I like the vanilla ones. They taste very close to a regular sugar wafer cookie. I keep them in the freezer and eat them frozen. Makes them firmer and crunchier for a better sense of "yum".
I've been drinking Lipton diet green tea with citrus. I love it.
Congrats on your breakthrough!

There must be something in the AIR..... Yah! I just broke the barrier....
yesterday I steped on the scale and I had lost 3 lbs., then I step on it today and I have lost another 2 lbs. So -108lbs and about 230 to go.
Oh, I have to let you all know about Green Tea- I was reading a article on it at another board yesterday that its good for weight loss as its has a natural energy booster in it, so I made some yesterday and I have been full of energy and its seems that I am intaking more water though, but the scale is going down.....
Lynda what kinda of protein bar do you get ? I have tried some but I have not found any that I really like.
Take care
Tom

Christy you are doing great on weight loss. My doctor put me on B-1 (thiamin) vitamins with my others and i have not had any problems with hair loss. Try taking 1 tablet 100mg. twice a day.
Thiamin (B1) reduces inflammation, reduces fluid retention, assist in carbohydrates metabolism, and allows blood circulation for hair follicles to grow.

Julie, sorry about your hair loss. Try taken B-1 (thiamin) 1 tablet 100 mg. twice a day. My doctor put me on them when i first had surgery and i have not had any problem with hair loss. I hope this helps. I have not heard of too many doctors that have you take these vitamins but it works for me.

I'm down around 63. Our floors are terribly unlevel (base housing...typical. lol!) so it's hard to get a consistent reading but that's my closest estimate. I've gone from a 24-26 to an 18-20. I have on a size 20 skirt today and it's trying to be a low rider. lol! Another one almost fell off while I was out the other day. So I might be closer to an 18 or maybe less in skirts. Time to go SHOPPING!!!!! :D I think I'm going to try some 16s just in case they fit. hehehe!
I do feel like I'm losing awfully slow but that's my fault. I've been working out 2-3 times a week and it really needs to be 5-6...3 of those running. I need to get off my lazy fanny and WORK IT! lol!
