Topic: RE: Who had a WOW moment(s) this week?
Gina,
Who ever would have thought you'd understand your loss is your gain.
This is truely an amazing journey, I am WOWED everyday as I put on clothes I could not fit into for years and years.
I think most of all is when other men comment how much better I look, just because most men are not comfortable saying that.
Thanks for your wow list, I can surely relate to them all. Congrats on your awesome wl achievement, sounds like you are handling it well.

Judy,
You cracked me up!!! Amazing how these milestones are so importent to all of us, I started at 352 and now am somewhere around 250, I could not believe it when the doc told me my ideal body weight is 169...hell I call that a thigh!
You take care and enjoy yourself, Congrats on your success you have EVERY reason to be proud!

You go, girl!!
You stop when you feel like you reached a halthy weight that you're comfortable with.
I started out at 255, am now 185 and my goal is 150. I actually had someone tell me yesterday that at 150, I'd be TOO skinny. I simply responded, let's wait and see.
We've all gone through this procedure to lose weight and to become more healthy. But what I'm beginning to understand about others is that some people are more comfortable with us being fat. We made "them" look good for so long that, yes, they are a bit jealous. They think we took the easy way out.
Well, I'm getting sidetracked. Darling, be proud to be "overweight", because we are so proud of you and happy for you too!!
And I had a "Wow" moment last night...I was falling asleep on my side and my husband whispered, "You're getting your curves back." I cried and responded, "That's the sweetest thing you've said to me in the longest time."
Have a fabulous day, folks,
Laura*
Topic: RE: Oven Poppers?
I have seen other posts about them, and have been to the website. They say they are available at Krogers in my area, but I can't find them. They look delicious and just right for us. I'll keep looking!!

Topic: RE: Any embrassing moments?
I wasn't the one embarrassed, but I was the one laughing my you know what off!! My daughter had surgery in January and sometime later, maybe 6 weeks, we were coming in late one evening from a scrapbooking event. I let her out of the car before I pulled into the garage. She went on ahead of the car and as she stepped up the one step to the door, her jeans fell to the ground. She had her hands full, so had to just step out of them and on into the house. I was watching my mirrors as I pulled in, so didn't see them fall, but looked up just in time to see the scantily clad bottom in the headlights. We laughed ourselves silly and it is still our favorite wls moment.
Hugs,

Topic: Plateaus, hair loss, and snacking
I was reading some other posts over the last few days and I feel so much better to know that I am not alone. I am having 2 wk plateaus monthly and my weight loss has slowed down tremendously. I am just over 4 months post op and down 67lbs. I am completely grateful, but I just dont want it to stop. Then I have noticed that my hair is falling out, now I know they told us this could happen, but truthfully I did not think it would happen to me, it is really freaking me out. Then theres the whole issue of snacking. I have that urge to snack, even if I am not hungry, which is exactly how I was before surgery. Well I will stop complaining now. I am glad I am not alone and if anyone has any advice to fix these problems, I am all ears.

Oh my! Those are hilarious!
My semi-embarassing moment....I frantically scheduled an appt at my dr (gyno) to examine the HUGE "lump" that had appeared all of a sudden. He squeezed me in knowing how concerned I was. Turns out (thankfully) that it wasn't a lump. It's called a breast bone. Mine was just slowly making an appearance as I lost the padding there too.

I was like that for a while. It took 3 months before I changed sizes, but now I have lost from a tight 28 to a size 18. I had surgery on April 15, and have now lost 104 pounds. Good luck

I'm sorry but that really made me laugh.
My own embarassing moment was excruciating but my own fault. The first real thing I noticed about my weight loss was about two weeks out when I could connect my bra on the smallest hook. That morning I met my parents for breakfast at their regular diner and lost my mind and told my dad. By the time we left the restaurant an hour later, the man had told everyone who would listen my "good news".
