Topic: RE: How much to goooooooooooooooo????
Hi there Christy,
I had surgery on April 11th and I have lost 86 lbs. I still have another 70 or so to go. But with my tummy tuck maybe less.
Congrats on your weight loss. We should all be proud.

52 down and about 94 to go
Start 281
Today 229 (but hovering back and forth between 229 - 231 the last few days)
Goal Weight around 135 (and 20% bodyfat!!) I am 5'4
I've been stuck in a holding pattern the last three weeks! Bleh. =( Increased my calories a little the last couple days but that hasn't changed anything. I'm going to stick with that plan for a couple weeks to see if maybe that does the trick. I'm working out at least 60 minutes a day so I thought maybe I was putting myself in starvation mode but then again it could be that I am building more muscle from lifting. I burn about 500 - 800 calories a workout. Also retaining a bit of water and probably PMSing right now. I set myself the goal of getting in 80 - 100 grams of protein and 1200 - 1400 cal.

I am back to my full exercise program (resistance training/bodybuilding 3-4X per week and cardio 6X a week). At 4 months you should be able to lift any amt. The pain sounds just like a pulled muscle. Rest up and then consider starting a regular training program to help make you stronger!
Chances are you just lifted the dog up incorrectly. That could happen to anyone (regardless of strength or weight loss surgery).
Hope you feel better soon!!

WOW! 10 grams of sugar. I don't get that much in an entire day. No wonder you love it!!! I like EAS Advant Edge Carb Control Nutrition Bars. 210 cal, 2g carbs, 0g sugar, and 25g protein! They come in yummy flavors, too.

If it's your muscles it wouldn't have anything to do with your pouch. If you had a Lap RNY, your muscles weren't cut. I don't have a weight limit but I've been hauling bales of hay around and moving heavy boxes for at least a month now.

Recently, I took my dog to the vet and lifted her up on the exam table without thinking first. She weighs 50 lbs. Oh, the pain!!!! I felt something pull in my stomach and had major cramping for days. I went to the ER when I couldn't bear the cramps anymore. They took x-rays and said that the cramps are actually muscle spasms and I strained my abdominal wall. My doctor never told me how much weight I'm allowed to lift at 4 months out. Did your doctor tell you how much you can lift?
