I had a wonderful WOW moment yesterday. I have a digital scale in my house, but NEVER been able to use it because my weight was too high. it always gave me an error message readout. well i keep trying every so often, waiting for the day it will actually give me my weight. Last night, i stepped on the scale not expecting any miracles, but OMG it told me what I weighed. im down to 325lbs...YEAHHHHHHHH. thats 95 lbs since surgery. I am soooo happy. congrats to all of you on your wonderful weight loss stories and i love reading your wow moments...and even love reading when your having troubles because it really helps me out. keep up the good work.

My wow moments are the following. A lady that knows me and sees me a couple of times a week walked by me at Walmart looked at me and kept walking. In a few minutes I walked to her and she said was that you over on that other side. She couldn't believe it was me. Also my doctor came in and asked my husband who this woman was he had with him 
Another wow moment is I am 100 pounds lost as of today. YIPPEEEEE!!!!!
I love this feeling now if I could lose the other weight I will be very proud!

I had two WOW moments this week.
1. I went to the movies w/ my best friend and didn't have to put the arm rest up. I've been able to do that before, but never comfortably... this time, I was COMFORTABLE!!! YAY
2. Going to an engagement party for a guy I've known for 15 years, and he took time out of running around being host to tell me how proud he is of me and how amazing I am 
His mom never saw me anywere near my heaviest and even she commented on how I look

I was so excited today. I got on the scales and I have now lost 72 pounds.one more and I will be below 200 for the first time in years.I will be about 70-75 to goal then. The next 50 would be fantastic!
but I know what you mean about the lying scales. but this is the first time mine have put me on the 200 mark and hopefully in a few days they will go on down and stay there for a while.

Gina,
I didn't have to lose weight pre-op but I started all my vitamins and during the liquid diet I lost some weight (I NEVER lost weight before like that. It really surprised me)

Hello Gina,
My Wow moment was when I went to my surgeon's support group meeting on Friday and my surgeon had to do a second look he did not recongize me, and he gave me a big hug! that felt so awesome! I guess I have another one , I walked 4 blockes to the shopping mall from the bus station and then took a break and went shopping thru the mall for 3 hours with my gf. I surprised myself and her. Life is getting to be so much more enjoyable since WLS.

Hi Christy,
I had my surgery 4/25/05 and was wearing size 28 pants and 28 to 30 shirts depending on make. Now my size runs from a size 20 to 24 just depending on the style and brand. Treat yourself and go shopping even if its just for sizing purposes, you will be amazed. Good Luck.
