Topic: Poll: How much have you lost?
I know this varies from person to person. When was your surgery date and how much have you lost so far? My surgery date was 04/11/05 and to date I have lost 71 1/2 pounds. I am almost out of the 190's. YAHOO!!!

I believe that the green comes from your iron supplement (assuming you are taking one). Kathy

Topic: RE: Who had a WOW moment(s) this week?
Gina: I finally had a WOW moment. Yesterday I went to a store in the local strip mall, with the intention of looking at wigs. My head looks like a 85 year old lady. Anyway, they also had Dickie Scrubs on sale for $19.95 a set. Good Deal. So I bought one. I work for an optometrist and have been wearing my old 2XL & 3XL's just because I didn't want to spend the money yet for new ones. But they have gotten so big, I look awful. So I bought size L large. Regular old large!! I figured if they didn't fit now they would some day. Well I tried them on this morning and they fit. Actually they are just a little big. I can't wait to go to work tomorrow wearing a unform that fits. Beverly 248/175/140 + -

I ran into a patient outside of work and she couldn't stop staring at me, her mouth actually dropped open. I think I gave her the shock of her life. Another patient today asked my boss who the model was he hired in the front office...she was just kidding but it made me smile!

Your three week winter sounds the opposite of our three week summer. Think of me here, 30 miles south of Buffalo, in January, February, March, April, May, and the first half of June. We'll likely be having blizzard warnings. Which I'll gladly keep, rather than trading for hurricanes or tornados. Hope you feel better soon. Lynda

Tomorrow will be week 19 for me and I'm not losing hair. Are some people able to go through this and NOT lose hair or is it inevitable? I've been wondering about this for a while. Thanks. Susan

It's so good to hear that I'm not the only one whose so tired. I've wondered why too. My blood work comes out fine and I'm on top of the vitamins, etc. I would love to know what "energy" feels like...it's been so long. I live in a suburb of Houston and our average temperature right now is in the mid 90's with high humidity and that in itself, zaps you whenever you have to leave airconditioning. I'm just waiting for our "winter", all 3 weeks of it. Hugs to all, Susan

OMG!!! Funny you should ask! Just 10 minutes ago my daughter came home from shopping at Old Navy and had bought size 12 cords. Just by accident, I asked her if I could try them on, and they FIT!! Couldn't believe it! I've gone from 2X pants/shirts to 12 pants and ladies L/M shirts. Last May (04) I weighed 263 lbs. (at 5'2") and on the day of my surgery (4/28/05) I weighed 234 lbs. Today I weigh 185 and am starting to feel so good about myself. It's been so long since I've had any self-confidence about myself. I'm off 3 medications (all weight related health issues) and last Monday was cut from 320 MG of Diovan (high blood pressure med) to 80 MG. This was the right decision for me and I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to start a "new", healthy life at 47. Thanks for asking about our WOW moments. Hugs, Susan

Congratulations to everyone on their WOW moment. Isn't this great?? My WOW moment was yesterday. I found the pants I wore to the seminar for wls. I decided I would try them on to see how big they are now. They were so large I can get ALL of me in one leg now. I was soooooo excited! I've lost 95 pounds since surgery and 145 total!!! Hugs to all! Teresa
