Hi Linda, My surgery was the same day as yours! I'm losing hair, but have lots, so I'm not too freaked out by it. I've been walking every other day. I joined an exercise class in June and got hurt, so I've been unable to work out since then. Just yesterday, I received approval to begin working out with a personal trainer. I'm excited about that. Best of luck... Cindie 308/245/hoping for 130ish

Topic: Stomach Pains
Well, today I called my surgeon to schedule an appointment regarding my stomach pains. It woke me up at 5:00am and just got progessively worse. His office directed me to the emergency room because of the chest pains. The ER checked my heart and all is well in that department. But the liver and pancreas levels were elevated. So the ER dooctor spoke to Emma Patterson and she explained that it may be a pancreas infection or an ulcer. In either case I must see Dr. Hong tomorrow at 9:00am to have my pouch scoped and checked. Dr. Patterson also explained that I may need surgery to correct the part of the Y that connects to the pancreas. I hope that no surgery is needed. The only good thing that came out of this is that the ER doctor relieved my pain this evening with pain medication in my IV. So I pray that this is something that does not require surgery. I'll find out more tomorrow. Lara

I had some severe hair loss too even though I am getting the recommended amount of protein. When I had my last blood work I was diffecient in several vitamins one of them being Zinc that is also a cause of hair loss. I got a good hair cut and started taking zinc vitamin c Iron and calcium as directed by my doctor and I have had much less hair loss recently. Best of Luck to you I hope this helps!! I can eat anything but sugar and I always eat 4 oz., 3 meals per day. I mostly eat meat and vegetables but I've had bites of carbs here and there. Congrats on almost-century club!

Take more vitamins and protein. IMHO, anything you put ON your hair doesn't matter because hair is dead. You need to work inside the skin which means vitamins and protein.
