God, I hate math.... Last time I made this I used 12 apples, 1/2 cup raisins, 1/2 broken walnuts, and 2 cups high protein granola. One medium apple has 80 calories and 4-5 grams of fiber 1/2 cup raisins has 250 calories, 2 grams of fiber, and 3 grams of protein 1/2 cup walnuts has 400 calories, 4 grams of fiber, and 10 grams of proteinI use two cups ZOE's FLAX & SOY granola cereal: 760 calories, 28 grams of fiber, and 36 grams of protein. Add everybody up and divide by 12 servings and per serving you get approximately: 200 calories 7 grams fiber 4 grams protein To be honest, the only grams I count are protein grams to make sure I get in the 60-90 grams per day my surgeon recommends. I also count ounces of liquid to make sure I'm getting enough. I promised myself once I had this surgery I would never make myself insane by counting calories and carbs and fat and whatever again. Life is too darn short!! Best of luck, Lynda 262/175/138

i havebeen having difficulty wit hcravingstoo. not sure if it is stress with the holidays coming or what , but all of a sudden it is bad. i don't dump either. i can eat everything and anything. i do eat less than before the surg. my only saving grace. has stopped the weight loss though. unfortuneatly , i seem to have difficulty with self control too, can't just say don't do it like the first 6 months. i don't think i was prepared for this yet. hopefully it will straighten out. i'm trying note to eat the wrong things. i try to eat protein or drink water first sometimes that helps.

Tom is one of us April 2005 postop people. I didn't even know there was a singles board on OH until two days ago when this discussion expoded into sometihng way out of proportion to what was said or meant in response to Tom's initial post. Oh what a tangled web and all that jazz. Lynda 262/175/138

HI Jaclyn, I do that sometimes and play around with the percentages. It's so bizarre to look into the future and see the tantalizing promise of weighing 138 pounds in my future!

Guys go to the home page and click post op planner. Enter the specified figures and a chart will appear and will calculate your weight loss for you. This is an average of 65% of excess weight. You might be surprised that you are right on target. Just try and see. When I did mine I was about right for this month. That made me feel a little better about being stalled for the last 2 months. Hope this helps. Jaclyn

It happens even to the best of us. Plataues are inevitable no matter how much we hate them. dont give up and get discouraged. just try mixing things up in your routine. sometimes eating a little more can do it. just be careful what that something more is. try to avoid all the bad foods. try eating some turkey or beef jerkey to up your protein a little and to add some variety. sometimes that is really all it takes. keep up the good work. YOU CAN DO IT! anita b. 420/296/200 someday soon hopefully

Wow.. no idea why this post ended up on the April board but so be it! Just wanted to say you never know what will happen unless you take a chance. However, I also believe both people will have a better chance if they are also in a place where the love themselves. I can only imagine that meeting at this time in your lives would be a huge challenge. However, I'm sure you can also be a huge support for one another. West to East Coast Romance --------------------------------- My husband and I met online playing an online game called Everquest back a few years ago. He was living across the contry in San Jose, CA area at the time. I was in the process of getting divorced from a marriage that only lasted a couple years. We talked for about a year online before he came to visit. After that things moved very fast. Within 3 weeks he was back again for another visit and then a month after that he moved in with me. The last thing I wanted to do was jump from one relationship to another but it just sort of happened and I don't regret that for a minute!!!! On our 2nd Valentines day we were engaged. I guess that was about a year and a half after he moved in with me. Just this past October we celebrated our 1 year anniversary. We have the most amazing life together and I am thrilled we took a chance!!!!!!! Best of luck to both of you. May you find the love and happiness that you deserve within yourselves (and together if that ends up being your choice). Good Luck!
