Hi, Teresa I get the cravings for sweets to and if I go ahead and try something, usually one bite will do because its not as good as I thought. I have to be very strict with myself, though because I dont dump, and could fall into bad habits. I also like to cut up and peel and apple and have it with peanut butter. If all else fails I have a power crunch bar. Now I know you cant eat them too much , but I think if Im going to have something sweet at least it has protein in it. hugs from down under Helen

Hi Stayce Oh you poor thing. I know what it is like to have a never ending period. All our hormones are crazy after this surgery, apparently. I had a hysterectomy a couple of years ago.( before WLS) because I bled for three years straight and didnt matter what I did it wouldnt stop. I have been told that hormones are stored in fat so when yu lose a lot quickly, every thing goes nuts. Give it time, Im sure it will even out. WOW you are so close to the onederland mark. I cant wait to get there either, but have a bit longer to travel, yet hugs from down under Helen

Hi D. Please dont feel discouraged, I am down only 55lbs so you are doing fantastically. I feel like a failure everyday when I come to the boards and so many who had surgery in the same month as me are down twice what I am. I know we are not supposed to compare ourselves to others, but I do and it makes me so frustrated and down that I have to be such a slow loser. Hey, I have a good idea. You compare yourself to me and then you will feel great. Chin up. hugs from down under Helen

Hi Christy, I have felt the same way as you virtually since I had the surgery done. I am now down 55 lbs but some months lose nothing and other months go up and down on the same pound. I have never had a fast loss month after the second. It stinks. I thought I would have lost 100lbs by Christmas but now dont even think I will go near that for one year. I eat too little most days so get the advice to eat more, but as a long time bulimia sufferer cant do it. I am going to start to walk twice a day to see if that helps. I dont know how much you have lost altogether but if its more than me, I am still jealous lol. hugs from down under Helen
