Topic: RE: N G my surgery twin, where are you!
I was not thinking of the tummy tuck stuff when I went, just a little liposuction so clothes would fit better. But I have been the same size for 16 months so I guess this is it.............. my final size. Let me know about the protein, where you get it and if it is any good. Hugs, n

I need a new picture too. I still hate having my picture taken! Some things will never change...LOL I havent even thought of plastics until I reach goal, then I will go in for a consult and see about a tummy tuck and breast lift. Until then I still buy tops a size too big but Im more comfortable in bigger tops. Im finally in a 16, almost ready for a 14 and that is a major milestone. I havent been under a size 18 since I was in the 5th grade!!! Almost 40 years ago!! Its amazing and shocking...LOL Ive found a protien drink with 51 grams of protien in one can I havent tried them yet, but I have to order online. I cant find them around here. They are called RTD 51. Anywho, GREAT to see you back!!!

Still in La. I went to plastic surgeon to see about lipo to be able to wear one size clothes instead of having jello roll making me wear tops a size too large for my boobs. The guy wanted to do a thing to remove skin. I told him......... who cares about skin, I want the fat gone.......... so I can wear the right size shirts for my chest...LOL. He told me 12 weeks recovery time.......... I told him forget that.... no way I can do that until June. Anyway, I go with it since I am the same size now as I was in nov 04. So I don't have to buy any new clothes...........lol I am doing ok. My Dr. is not real big on testing stuff I guess.... they never tell me anything. But I will have to have tests done ahead for the surgery. I need to take a new picture, and submit it here. Oh, well, someday!

Yahoo! There you are with your skinny self! Im still the slowest looser around but I have not gained any, whatsoever so I am pleased. Ive been trying to learn to eat healthy and it has actually worked. I no longer want any of the fattening junk I used to think I couldnt live without. Ive lost 104 #'s, so far. My surgeon still has not given me a goal weight so I will just keep on doing what he has told me to do until he tells me otherwise. Ive given myself a goal weight of 150 just based on my height. I have 46 more to go. My only complication, which has been minor, has been low iron. Ive had chronic anemia before I had surgery so thats nothing new. My B12 level is still high, can you believe it! Ive had one series of iron infusions and so far so good. My Vitamin D level is low so Ive had to take a supplement prescribed by my surgeon for that. I do not like milk, still do not like protien shakes so its obvious my Vitamin D level would be low. Ive since learned to love yogurt, so I try to get in 3 a day. My protien level is just fine, which amazes me. I suppose Im getting in enough just from foods now, or my surgeon would have mentioned it. Im still a workaholic, and keep busy at home. I am gonna try not to be a stranger around here anymore. So, tell me how you have been. Still in Louisiana or did Katrina place you elsewhere?

Topic: RE: Come on out April Babies!
I've lost about 140lbs. It took a little less than a year and half. Since then, I just maintain within a 3lbs. window or so. I'm thinner than I thought I'd be so I won't go nuts if I get that 10% gainback. It hasn't always been easy, tho. It was a longer and rougher recovery than I thought it would be but once I passed the 9 mo. mark I felt like myself. I wear what I want and look good in what I wear (That doesn't mean there isn't excess skin) . I feel good and can do so much more. I eat pretty healthily (when I'd lived on junk food for the past 15 years). No one would ever know I'd been MO.

Topic: Protien Shakes?
Ive never really used the protien shakes. Ive gotton my protien in from foods but Im just now starting to loose my hair and I want to nip this in the bud. I have 2 containers of Designer Whey Protien Powder. One is chocolate, one is tropical fruit flavor. How do you use your protien powders? Just as a shake or in coffee or some other creative way.

Topic: Recipes After WLS?
I am a collector of recipes. I do not cook very often but lately Ive run out of ideas. I tend to use my crock pots on a regular basis. Do you have any post WLS recipes you care to share? Chicken Casserole 4 chicken breasts, cooked and torn into bite size pieces 1 can FF cream of mushroom soup 1 can FF cream of chicken or cream of celery soup 1 small container of FF sour cream 1 sleeve of ritz crackers FF butter spray Combine the chicken with the soups, sour cream and pour into a small baking dish. I spray my dish with PAM. Crush the crackers and sprinkle evenly on top, spray the crackers with FF Parkay butter spray, lightly. Bake at 375 approx 45 minutes or until hot and bubbly, top browned. My family LOVES this recipes. Ive used left over turkey, no one will eat, in this too instead of chicken and it was gone within an hour. I can only eat a small amount of this. I have no idea how nutritional it is for us but I do know it is a winner with picky eaters which is what I have in my household. I do use the FF or low fat versions of the soups and sour cream.
