Topic: RE: When can you take a pill?????
My surgeon told me that I could start taking pill forms of my vitamins and everything at my 6 week post-op checkup. he said if I needed to when I first began I could break them in half in order to get them down, but other than that he didnt see any reasons why I couldnt switch to pill form. Good luck.

I've been swallowing pills since Day 1 postop. I take a fistful of the things in the morning and at night. Some of them are horse pill size too.

I agree with Tom.. I have been taking Tylenol for months and I cut my vitamins into smaller pieces. Dont worry you can do it,...If ya can't then you need to be checked... ask your nutritionist, she'll tell you or call and ask your Drs nurse. SO MUCH BETTER THAN LIQUID!!

Topic: When can you take a pill?????
Up until about a week ago I've felt great, however, I had the WORST headache the other day but I was scared to try and swallow a pill. (I don't know if many of you know it but liquid Tylenol is worse than a headache). I would love to be able to swallow a pill rather than chewing one up or crushing it. Any thoughts????
Hugs,
Teresa

Topic: RE: Haven't lost any weight in over 2 Months!!!!!!
wow.. I really need to read these posts more often. I hadn't been coming here because I didn't want to hear about all the people losing and hitting the century mark, while I sat here with the scale stuck for the past two months. I really thought it was just me. I have been dealing with chronic fatigue since before surgery and haven't been able to do much exercising. I thought that was causing the plateau. Although I'm sure it is contributing to it, there is hope that it is just a normal plateau and will work itself out. Hopefully soon!!

Gosh, am I glad I saw these posts! I, too thought I was the only one who was a "slow loser"!! I have lost about 68 pounds since my surgery on 4/12/05 and although I have (kind of) an excuse, it doesn't make any difference to me...I still want that 100 pound mark to come sooner rather than later. After my surgery, I was on a business trip out east and had to have my thyroid gland removed. A few years ago, I had trouble with it, but was given radioactive iodine, after which I took synthroid. Now, after the surgery to remove the gland, my TSH levels were a rock bottom....I had no energy, no ability to do much more than get out of bed and go to work. Exercise is a problem because I seem to have a pinched nerve in my thigh that acts up if I'm up for more than 10 minutes at a time. I'm not giving up though.....I enjoy everything about my 68 pound loss - sitting in the car with room to breathe, walking without feeling like my back is breaking - benefits too numerous to mention. Don't lose sight of what you've all accomplished thus far....we are in darn better shape than we were last April! Mary Jo

I just want to say thank you. I read your profile tonight and was very touched and inspired. Being a teacher I know that you have a great talent for writing. I hope you continue and someday put all of your thoughts and words into a book that will be available for ALL to read. Best of luck on your continued weight loss journey, May God bless you and use you in His work.

Congratulations!!. You go girl.
I can hear you all the way over on the East Coast. You are an inspiration to us all. I am still trying. I am almost 8 months out and Just yesterday the scales finally started to move again after a three week stall. I reached 150 yesterday. I am 98 pounds down... 2 to go to the century mark, and 10 to goal. Maybe I'll get my wish for Christmas? Again congratulations! Happy Hollidays to all.
