congrats. My surgery was April 27th, so im not too far behind you, and as of today I am down 136 lbs. I had a longer way to go than you did though. unlike you my dr and I have differences too, but he thinks I will lose probably another 64 lbs or so, and my goal is to lose at least another 84lbs. either way I will be happy with what I have lost so far. I am soooo much healthier and happier than I was this time last year. Keep up the good work, and hopefully you will get to your goal soon. take care

Holy crap! I am now 8 months and 1 day out and have lost 120 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I now have 36 pounds left to meet my personal goal. I can't wait to be there! I'm only 5 pounds away from my doctor's goal of what I should expect to lose from this surgery. I think that goal is too high, that's why it's theirs and not mine. I only have another 7 pounds to make it to the "Overweight" BMI. I am just so amazed, and so so glad I chose to have this surgery.

I did!
I went to my acting workshop on Sunday, where I did a monologue of a woman who was somewhat overweight. The people in the class do not know me from before. During the critique, someone said that I was "too agile" to play someone overweight... I guess I wasn't believable as a fat woman? lol

InLaw Christmas Pary this last weekend... spent most my time picking jaws off the floor... they hadnt seen me in MONTHS and some hadnt seen me since PRE surgery..
I love shopping on the NORMAL SIDE of Fashion Bug...

Don't know whether this is a WOW or an OW! I have finally decided that I am ready for dating. I registered with Love Connection on AOL. I had matches with what looked like two great guys. Right age, height, etc, etc. Well, conversations were going great for several days until my pic got posted. Then they both wrote to say that I was too THIN for their tastes. What gives with that? Too fat before, too thin now???

HI! I had surgery on April 27th so I have a couple of weeks 'til I',m at 8 moinths. I have lost 103 pounds and have basically stayed at that for a month. I am 6 pounds from goal and happy to be there. I am 5'9" and wearing a M on top and a 6/8 on the bottom. Now, all I need is a good man to share the rest of my life with!

i too had surgery on 4/11/05 i am down 102 lbs. i started at 288 and now weigh 186. i am wearing a size lge on top and a 14 bottom. i already feel that i am a success, although i would like to drop 30 or 40 more pounds.
i am very, very, happy with my results so far and feel i made the best decision to have WLS. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
