Congrats on the weight loss!!! I too am 23 months out and I have lost 274 lbs.
At 185 now, and lovin it. So much more life to be had now. I never had a goal weight given to me, but I strive for 170. So I guess I am close. Best of luck with your 40. We are all so brave, if only everybody could understand.
Topic: looking good and feeling great
Its coming up on my 2 year surgiversary, and to date I have lost a total of 243 lbs. I have l lost a whole obese person from on top of me. I am down to 177lbs now, with only 3 more lbs to go til im where im no longer even overweight, and at a healthy weight. I know that if I had the surgery to remove all the excess skin that I would weigh a lot less than that. Not sure if I will go thru with having the surgery to remove the excess skin or not. It is kinda gross, but not causing any other health problems, so we will wait and see. Things in my life are finally starting to settle down. Have a great new job, and getting lots of exercise with this job because its outdoors and requires lots of walking. Its going to be good for me. Just want to say thanks to everyone at OH for their support over the past couple of years. Without you guys I would have chickened out and not had the surgery that changed my life forever. Thanks.

First of all... and CONGRATLATIONS! You look wonderful and I know you feel much better too!
Ive never plateaued, just been a consistant "slow looser" all along but I gotta tell ya since Ive been doing protein drinks more and really trying to get in that 100 plus gram a day, I am loosing 2 to 4 pounds a week now. My 2 yr surgiversary will be on 4/4/05 and I will weigh the night before to see my grand total to date. right now it is 106 pounds.
Ive been hanging out on www.bariatriceating.com buying their protien powders, mixes, syrups and drinking lots of YUMMY protein drinks!! Matrixs Cookie and Cream is the BOMB! Getting in more protein has been easy, Im full and dont want any other heavy stuff on my pounch so I eat very light, get in all my water and stay active and its just coming off. Give the protien loading and alot of water a try and see what happens!
Let us know too! I know you can do this and we will be here to cheer you on!
Hugs,
ES

No, you will NOT get any reprisals from me. Even with the regain, that is still less weight that you are carrying around. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayer that you and your doctor will find a solution to your stall. Please keep us posted!

Well, I guess that I should have posted too!
I will be two years out on April 20th and I just can't get over the changes that I have gone through.
My highest weight was 332 pounds and as of yesterday I weighed in at 117 pounds. I still can't believe that I've lost 215 pounds in less than two years.
I have had some health issues that my Doctor and I are working on. I am trying to gain back some weight. I have about 15-25 pound worth of skin that I want to have removed, however I can not have any plastics done until I gain some weight back. I am also having troubles with anemia and being B12 defiencent. But I can confident that I'll be back at 100% soon.
Some of my BEST wow moments ...
Having my hubby give me a piggy back ride
Fitting into a size 3 juniors
Being able to hang all day with my kids without being tired.
Going horseback riding again
My life has always been great...I have a fantastic husband and 3 wonderful little girls, however, through WLS I am able to really enjoy every moment I have with them. I'm no longer sitting on the park bench, I'm out there playing. My husband and I going dancing again too!
Try to post more often so I can keep up with all of you! If you have a MySpace account, look me up! http://www.myspace.com/rockchickjackie
Topic: RE: can rouen-y take phentermine?
Did you ever take the Phentermine? If so, what happened? Or did you try something else? I need help badly cuz I have gained over 20 pounds in the last 4 months and it is not coming back off.
