Carol,
Why don't you join us in the april2005 challenge? I think most of us are where you are with the stall. Scroll down a few posts and you will see the challenge. We start tomorrow. There is still time for you to join.

Thanks, Rae! I'm so glad you are going to be here with us. I might need a whipping from time to time, but my goal is 10 pounds in the four weeks.

Happy New Year to you! You are soooo right that we have all come a million miles since this time last year! I think we all have so much to celebrate and many more things to celebrate in the future! We have bikes and roller coasters to ride, flying on an airplanes without a seatbelt extender, and most of all loving ourselves for the fabulous people we are! Here's to health and happiness for 2006! Best of luck on the challenge! Call me if you need me!
Hugs,
Teresa

Topic: RE: Bad week, but good wow moments
Dear Anita,
Losing someone close is never easy and seldom comforted by strangers. I lost my mom the day of my WLS and because of my complications and being in ICU for 4 days, didnt even know for a week. The love and support I got from everyone around me was wonderful but still didnt ease the loss. I grieved not only for my mother, but for my love of food and the life I used to have. I know now that mom is my guardian angel and does see how well I have done. It's tough not being able to share my WOW moments with her in person though.
I too have had the absolute WOW of trying on clothes I thought would be way too small, only to have them be too big. As I type this I sit wearing a pair of pants I bought on the small side 2 months ago. They almost fall off when I stand up. With Christmas and all, I havent had time to shop for new clothes. I was hoping to be under 200 by this time. Oh well..better buy some new drawers, or risk flashing people
Your Grandma is always watching and proud of your sucess. Good luck and lets make them proud!!!! Happy New Year and good luck!!

Happy New Year Everybody...
Great thing is Im down 125lbs from surgery. Bad thing is Ive lost and gain the same 3 lbs for the last 2 months.
I know I havent eaten well though, so I cant whine too much. I was sooooo happy to be able to enjoy the holidays and not barf or dump!
I dont know about you all, but there are simple little things that I can do now..like cross my legs and slide in and out of a booth, that make this whole process worthwhile.
I wanted to be under 200 for New Years...oh well
I am down within 60 lbs of goal. I started at 345.
We have to be thrilled with any step in the right direction, no matter how frustrated we are. Patience IS NOT my virtue. But hopefully with the holidays over I can get back to basics and start losing again.
I wish you all sucess, happiness and joy for the New Year.
Carol

Topic: RE: Challenge Anyone?
Rae Ann, I am sorry I thought I told you about that. I have Colleen Cooks book and she has a plan in it to break the Bad times as I call them and I have been following it pretty much... I thinks is what is helping me the most is that I am excerising alot and it sure has made the weight drop here lately... I just have to keep it in the back of my mine that I need to get out and at least walk some everyday. But its so darn hard some times...
Your not doing to bad yourself Keep your chin up and smile your doing great!

Helen,
Yes I use the either the 1% milk or the non-fat powdered milk in my protein shakes also I add a egg to them too, I have at least 2 shakes per day, sometimes three. I also try to drink atleast 80 ozs. of water per day too. I notiice I the weight loss is better the more water I pu****s very hard somedays to drink that much water. But since I workout so much I really push the water. I do sometimes use waer to mix with my shakes too, if I am out and about and don't have milk, I just mix the protein mix with a half cup of water and some ice cubes.
Hope you have a Happy New Year!
Hugs from Alaska!
