One Year Ago Today...

I had Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. Has it really been a year?? It went so fast! It's mostly been a good year, physically it has been a fine year with no complications to speak of and I think I've got a pretty good handle on my new lifestyle and eating style. I have a lot more energy thanks to the new meds, and I'm looking forward to homeschooling my six year old for the first time. Overall totals: Starting Weight: 254 Today's Weight: 139 - 115 total loss - 15lbs below goal. Starting Inches: 237.5 Today's Inches: 173.75 - Total loss: 63.75 I've lost 115lbs and 63.75 inches. I'm 5'8". Everything fits even though some stuff I've held onto for years with the hopes that it one day would fit now look kind of silly on me. I would do it again. I am still cautious and concerned, but overall I am a completely different person. Happy Rebirthday to Me.

Lisa, you have had a fantastically successful year. I cant imagine being 139 lbs, I havnt weighed that since I was in high school. Good for you. hugs from down under Helen
